Great unique idea! I’m Sharon, and I would be fairly new to the world of epic poetry, but this seems like a great way to jump in that deep pool. Thanks for inviting me to your group.

Hi all. I'm not sure if my intial message to Chaplain went through as an introduction, therefore I'm doing it here.I'm Colin from Down Under in Tasmania.
I don't have much experience with poetry, and epics at that, therefore I seeing this as a bit of a welcome challenge.
Regards CB

Hello@all!Epic poetry is new for me. But I'm always susceptible to new things come the New Year, so here I am. Plus, January's poem is Beowulf and it's been sitting on my shelf (actually a box) for a long time now so this is an auspicious start. I'm excited.

Hi all.I'm not a big fan of poetry, but there are a few that have personally touch my heart. I look forward to expanding my awareness of poetry and hope to find stimulation and inspiration.

Hello! My name is Tiffany and I have been looking into jumping more into epic poetry, but haven't had the patience or the time to really do this on my own as epic poetry is usually so demanding to fully understand and fully appreciate. I am glad that I got invited to this group!I am excited to start reading Beowulf. :)
How's it going? My name is William, and this is the first time I have been on a group here. I am a fan of poetry and literature in general. I read Beowulf back in high school, but that was over 20 years ago, so I took the book out from the library.I am out of school now, so I am beholden to no one and can read what I want. Thanks for having me.
Hello everyone. My name is Pauline, and I've not read poetry for a while. Here's to hoping that this group can change that. Thanks for the invite Chaplain.
Hi, I'm Cleo from Canada. I just found this group through Tiffany and am excited to join. I love epic poetry and it will be nice to have others to discuss it with. I've read the first three poems scheduled, most of them more than once, so I'll be happy to join in the discussions!
Hello. I'm Salma from Egypt. I've studied poetry before in the university, but I haven't read much epic poetry. Intersed to join you.

I feel bad that I haven't been reading as much as I should for this group but I have found a good audiobook of Beowulf and have been listening to that as I read along. So, that's good. Hopefully you're reading some epic poetry! :)
Hello, I’m Marzena, I’m from Poland, but have been living in the U.S. for the last 30 years. Thank you for inviting me to this group. I enjoy reading. Although haven’t been reading too much of poetry lately, I’m looking forward to starting again.
Hiii everyone!! I’m Beatrice you can call me Bea :) thank you so much for inviting me I’m in love with poetry and wish all of us have a great time here together ^-^
Hey everyone!!! I'm Denali, and I am most importantly a follower of Jesus!!! I love epic poetry, specifically Homer as well as Beowulf and certain other middle English poems. I'm a writer, a poet, a filmmaker, and various other things, not the least of which would be a medieval weapons aficionado. I might not be very active because I don't have time for technology lol, but I will make an effort! :D
Hi! I'm Hailey, I love poems, and I'd love to discuss them! I love any kind of literature, and so this should be a fun experience discussing it!
Thanks for the invitation to join. I maybe read a book of poetry once every few years. Maybe jointing this group will increase my appreciation for the form. Plus, epic poems appeal to me.I"m Michael, retired and living in Pennsylvania (southeastern tri-state area with Maryland and Delaware). I love to read, especially crime and horror - my two favorite genres.
Hello, I am Zina from Mississippi. I teach Marketing and Statistics at a local college. Originally I am from Novosibirsk, Russia. Ich lerne auch Deutsch.I might not have the time to finish all the readings, but it is neat to do it. I like epic poems. But I am a bit of a slower reader :'(
[Just throwing this out here in case I can find company: I also would like some company to dive into Wagnerian operas and background lore/history for it. I have never paid attention to Wagner until very recently when I attended a talk about him and his work. As so many of my other obsessions, my interest to Wagner got sparked by my love for fantasy, especially the Lord of the Rings. Well, here are the OG rings of Power! It would be a lot of fun to have some company to dive into all of that. Unfortunately, my German is not on the level [yet] that would allow me to read in it]

Hi Michael! I used to live in Harrisburg, PA - it's a nice area!
My name is Cleo and I live in Canada in the Pacific Northwest (which is actually the south west corner of Canada) in B.C. I love all things Greek and have enjoyed delving into epic poetry.
Hey guys! I am Neha. I am new to this group and also to reading poetry. I want to start with something. I am open for suggestions. So what would you guys recommend me to read as my first poetry book?

Hi everyone! I'm Kristina and I currently live in Kentucky. I haven't read epic poetry in many years, so I'm excited to dive back in with y'all!
