message 2: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy walked into the big, silver, futuristic kitchen. It was fancy, but cold. Stacy liked a cold.

message 3: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) Phoenix walked in behind her and immediately noticed the cold. The air around them heated up a bit and made the room feel a little warmer.

message 4: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy walked over to the fridge and pulled out a big jar of peanut butter.

message 5: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) They walked over to the cabinet and got a box of Captain Crunch. They watched Stacy and wondered why a huge jar of peanut butter was in the fridge.

message 6: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy also pulled out a large jar of grape jelly. She noticed Phoenix staring. "What? I like peanut butter and jelly." She got out some bread and started making a sandwich.

message 7: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) "You keep peanut butter in the fridge?" They asked, "Wouldn't that make it hard to spread?"

message 8: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy shook her head. "Nope, it has to be refrigerated. Although I'm not sure why." She started spreading it all over the bread.

message 9: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) "Weird." She poured her cereal into a bowl and got the milk out of the fridge.

message 10: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy started putting jelly on the other slice of bread and then put the two halves together. "Yum." She started eating.

message 11: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) They poured the milk into the bowl and put it back in the fridge then sat at the island, "At least tell me you aren't one of the psychopaths that puts the milk before the cereal."

message 12: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy laughed. "Who does that?"

message 13: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) "My crazy aunt."

message 14: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy shook her head. "Doing it that way just doesn't make sense."

message 15: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) "It really doesn't. Unless you're getting another bowl and using the same milk. Then it is slightly more acceptable."

message 16: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon "Well yes, I do that most of the time when I finish one bowl and still have more milk." Stacy had finished her sandwich. "Hmmm...I wonder." She pulled open the freezer door and grinned.

message 17: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) "What are you doing?"

message 18: by Book - Dragon (last edited Jan 29, 2022 09:16PM) (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy pulled out a plastic container. "Eating ice cream. Want some?"

message 19: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) "Of course."

message 20: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy got out two bowls and spoons. She passed the ice cream to Phoenix once she had scooped out her share.

message 21: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) Phoenix got theirs and then put the rest back in the freezer. "Where did you live. Before all the world exploded?"

message 22: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy thought for a minute. "I lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin." Stacy shoved some ice cream in her mouth. "What about you?"

message 23: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) "Suburbs of New York City." They took a bite of ice cream.

message 24: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy nodded. "Cool." She ate.some more. "Did you have any siblings?" She asked a little quietly.

message 25: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) "No. I had a cousin that was basically my brother, tho. He did in a freak accident two years ago."

message 26: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon "I'm sorry." Stacy paused in her ice cream eating.

message 27: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) She shrugged, "Its fine. He was good as dead before the accident anyway."

message 28: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy looked up at that. "Uhhhh, why?"

message 29: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) "The doctors had given him two months to live three months earlier. He had Leukemia which spread to his lungs and stomach. He couldn't walk or breathe on his own."

message 30: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon "Oh, I'm sorry." Stacy said quietly. She shoved some more ice cream in her mouth.

message 31: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) "You shouldn't be sorry for something you had no control over."

message 32: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy shrugged. "I can still feel sympathetic about it, even though I didn't know him."

message 33: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) "Yeah. Most people do. You'd think after two years people would stop but they don't."

message 34: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon "Well, would you like me to tell you too bad and that there was nothing you could do so just forget about it?" Stacy looked up with a raised eyebrow.

message 35: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) "Depends on the person. I don't mind with you, you actually mean it. Some people just say sorry just to say something. So sometimes the first sometimes the second."

message 36: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy nodded. "I get it." Started to shove more ice cream into her pie hole, but realized she was out.

message 37: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) They smiled, "Trying to eat the bowl?"

message 38: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy laughed. "It just looked so good." She put down her spoon.

message 39: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) They laughed, "Don't be like Dare."

((gn))

message 40: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon ((Night!))

"Who's Dare?"

message 41: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) "My cousin. He definitely lived up to his name. He did anything anyone dared him to do."

message 42: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon "Sounds like a cool guy." Stacy put her bowl in the sink.

message 43: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) "Yeah. He kept things interesting. We had a group of friends. we were the kids at school no one wanted to mess with." She laughed, remembering the past shed been trying to forget for the past five months

message 44: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy nodded. "That was me at school. Alk the kids knew not to mess with me, or things would happen."

message 45: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) "What grade are--were--you in?"

message 46: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy thought back. "Ninth grade, just starting high school."

message 47: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) "A freshman that no one messed with. Now that's nothing I've ever heard of." They joked.

message 48: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy grinned, but a little darkly. "I was always a little cold, even before my powers. But during high school, I was that one kid who everyone knew was different. I used that to my advantage and it scared the heck out of all of the other kids."

message 49: by ~Adrian~ (new)

~Adrian~ (human_39) "Yeah I did the same thing except we were loud. we made sure everyone knew who we were and not to mess with us. None of us were special. Until we were."

message 50: by Book - Dragon (new)

Book - Dragon Stacy nodded. "I never thought I'd actually live to see the end of the world."
