Booknblues | 12503 comments There is so much going on in the short month of February and I am booked up, but I am planning on reading something for Black History Month. Is anyone else?

Goodreads has a great list of new and upcoming books, just in case your TBR isn't long enough:

Tracy (tstan) | 1261 comments I listened to Assata: An Autobiography last night. And I plan to read more nonfiction, as well as start rereading Toni Morrison’s books in order.

Jen K | 3210 comments Me too. This month is going to be/ has been insane with work and reading may be a struggle. I'm going to try for Ace of Spades which is also up for an Edgar award at least (fingers crossed). Also going to try for a Toni Morrison read. @Tracy, I hope you share your reading of her in order.

@Meli, A Little Devil in America: Notes in Praise of Black Performance was excellent. A great one to choose for book club.

Book Concierge (tessabookconcierge) | 8537 comments I just finished The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind: Creating Currents of Electricity and Hope on Jan 29. I'd highly recommend this informative and inspiring memoir, of a young man in Malawi who simply says, "I tried, and I made it."

Theresa | 16113 comments I think the closest I will get is reading the Edgar nominee set in Ghana. Way too much already on my reading pile and work is escalating.

Karin | 9385 comments I'm reading South Side Girls Growing Up in the Great Migration by Marcia Chatelain South Side Girls: Growing Up in the Great Migration by Marcia Chatelain for a group read. It's very different than The Warmth of Other Suns because it started off as a doctoral dissertation and is written as such.
