The Force of Echoes have a very strict hierarchy. At the top, you have the Directorate Board making the important decisions. Then there are the trainers, tasked with molding young initiates into perfect assassins and soldiers. Ranks 5 and 4 are reserved for the most dangerous, important assignments. The higher number of someone's rank, the more important they are, and the more respect they get. Initiates are the lowest rank, receiving very little respect and undergoing rigorous, almost torturous training.

okay so the student I mentioned who would probably be sent into the school as a spy but is really trying to act against the Echoes and has probably been really hard for them to control; what rank would she be?
