John Connolly discussion

So, just wondering, what is the correct way to pronounce Louis? Is it Loo-ee or Loo-is? I have always pronounced it the second way, but I just recently got into audiobooks & this guy pronounced it the first way & it got me thinking…how do other pronounce it. I tried to look it up but blah, so I figured I’d just come here & ask real Parker fans.

I was always a "Lewis" person until one book in the series (I think it was The Reapers?) briefly confirmed it as "Louie". Took me a while to retrain myself to read it the "right" way! I seem to recall an interview with John Connolly where he mentioned British people in particular tend to default to "Lewis" for whatever reason.

He's from down south of the US so Loo-ee, no?
