Amazingly, a work of espionage by Anthony Burgess. I'd never have suspected him of dabbling in this field. This is quite a surprise. Burgess is a heavy-hitter in mainstream literature, as we all know. A linguist as well as an author and playwright, thirty novels, and numerous publications of all kinds. His intellect was near that of a polymath. Anyone else here aware of this foray of his into intrigue? Maybe it would be a great 'group read', if we're all new to it.
