I started to suspect Brian right before he was revealed. It was obvious that Phillip had towns people in his pocket, but I thought Brian was too tight with Gabriel to hurt him. I was most surprised by Gabriel's death. I expected Max and Gabriel would have an alliance and raise Eve together.
I was not surprised by any of Phillip's actions. Violence and vengeance was part of his nature. I do think that him shooting David was just a circumstance issue.I suspected that Brian was doing something wrong, but I didn't think he was that deep into with Phillip.
I agree with Melissa that Dave was in the wrong place at the wrong time, but it also showed that Phillip was disintegrating rapidly mentally and finding out that Eve could be his daughter accelerated that.I suspected Brian from the time we found out that Jimmy was hiding at the resort when he wanted to take Eve. Finding out that Phillip was a partner in the resort just nailed him for me. Phillip felt betrayed by him and wouldn't even listen to his explanation.
I was sad that Gabriel died. He was a good man who only loved Eve and wanted to save her. I agree, I think he and Max could have worked out an arrangement for Eve.
I started having questions about Brian when he hid Jimmy in the cottage without telling Gabriel. Once I learned that Phillip was an investor in Havenly, I no longer trusted him.
I was shocked when he killed Gabriel as I didn’t think he would die. I got teary. He was a good man who devoted his life to his mother and then Eve.
I was just a little shocked about Brian but not when he shot David. That was just pure self preservation in the moment.
