I'm not generally a fan of the genre but I might very well give it a shot based on your recommendation.
Thanks for that vote of confidence, E.M. (I just hope I prove to deserve it!) :-) If you do read the book sometime, I hope you enjoy it. (My full review is here, if you're interested: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... .)
Given that I'm the founder of the Action Heroine Fans group (https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/... ) here on Goodreads, and the creator of the Books With Action Heroines list (https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/3... ), it won't be a surprise that part of my attraction to the premise of this series is that one of the main characters is a female bounty hunter. I'm a fan of strong, brave heroes (like the male twin here); but I'm even more of an admirer of strong, brave heroines, who also fight for justice. :-)My customized Action Heroines bookshelf here on Goodreads (https://www.goodreads.com/review/list... ) has 125 books on it, and all but about four have text reviews. Anyone interested in my recommendations along that line will find numerous possibilities on that shelf!
The second novel in the series,
Avenging Angels: Sinners' Gold, has a different actual author, Wayne D. Dundee. I didn't rate it quite as highly as I did the seventh one, partly because I don't think Dundee is as good a prose stylist as Charles Gramlich; but it still earned four stars from me (five on Amazon's scale).. My wife Barb really liked both novels as well!

One of several series they publish is Avenging Angels, featuring a twin brother-sister team of teenage bounty hunters in the West in the years just after the Civil War. (A. W. Hart is a house pen name used for all the books in this series, which are by various authors.) Despite the teen protagonists, it's adult (albeit clean) fiction, not YA. There are 12 books in the series so far. I've only read the seventh one, Avenging Angels: The Wine of Violence, written by my Goodreads friend Charles Gramlich. But I can highly recommend that one to genre fans!
