is it okay if i make my selected girls dead parents the old leader and second in command of the northern rebels then they die and the now leader and second in command take over?

Well... okay... So it might require a whole separate group, like a spin off, that's how big it is. I was thinking about how traditionally, the princesses would be sent off to marry other royals to rule other countries as Queens. And then I thought, I wonder if this group would be able to support not only Illea, but the other countries. In a small capacity, of course. The other countries would take one thread each, they'd have their own royal families. And instead of the girl's having a random selection of guys, the royal princes from the other royal families would come to Illea for a smaller, more intimate selection of just royalty. And then I thought that's way to bring for this roleplay. And it reminded me of a roleplay group I used to be in that was amazing, it had present countries, and all the countries had royal families, and the royal children all came to one place to have an arranged marriage. So a bunch of royals, planning their marriage, meeting their fiancees for the first time, maybe having secret relations with maids or guards or whatever. Gosh I loved that roleplay, but it had its problems too and I didn't really get to roleplay that...So it started as an idea for this roleplay and spun into an entirely new roleplay group idea thing... idk. Just some thoughts I had.
And sure, Prince Oliver could use a footman. :)
that sounds awesome, because traditionally the princess would marry royals from other countries, was the group Arranged? I was in that as well. I think we can handle it and if you do make another group i will totally join:)
Yes! It was, actually. I loved the idea behind Arranged, but it was so busy when I joined it and I really didn't get to roleplay there. I kind of want to make a group like that with arranged marriages, without copying it...But it also was a good idea for this roleplay. The only problem is it's huge. There's only so many countries in this roleplay, with only so many kids. It wouldn't be a 35 suitor selection, and we'd have to make the other countries and royal families and I just don't think that'd work.
You could do like a sister group, make it a bit smaller, and say stuff there like "This is the sister group of this group(link to this group's homepage)!"

Yeah we did something similar with a boarding school group? We did a sister group and required that people that wanted to join it had to be in the other as well?? But of course you don't have to do that. Ours was kind of like that with the kids as adults and then they had their kids and it was cool

Yeah. I'll definitely keep it in mind. I'll wait until Oliver's selection is over and then revisit the idea of involving foreign royalty in the selections.
Should the diplomats have maybe a second wing of the second floor for they're rooms (it's said that all guests stay on the second floor)?
How young do people get married in the books? I know the crown prince is 21 but some fo the girls are 16...
The youngest allowed in the Selection is 16 I believe Jessa, so I would say 16 for now, but honestly in some countries it might be lower? For now I would go with 16.Avery we'll probably put a thread for the Diplomats specifically, I'll get with the other mods about it :)
Um, also, I have Belcourt as my selected's province. I went into the province folder, and each thread has the different provinces in them (you know, the specific ones in north, or south, etc.), but Belcourt wasn't in any of them.

This is for my rebel...what's the youngest age you can get married without parental permission in Illèa?
13. Technically. At least in my opinion, I haven't read the book so I don't know, but I think of Illea as a country with older traditions, and in old times girls could get betrothed as young as babies and married as young as ten years old. So the youngest I would accept is 13. Though it'd be strange to be married so young... and just so everyone knows, the youngest Selected allowed is 16.
I would say (idk, just a guess) that if the youngest the royal family is allowing their prince to marry is 16, the youngest others should be allowed to marry is 16.
Okay. When I was reading Georgia's bio, she joined the Rebels at 15, and the sentence after makes it seems like she got married immediately.

Yes, 16 in the youngest for the selection, but Empress is talking about rebels and civilians, and that wouldn't have an age I don't think.Plus, arranged royal marriages, could probably be younger. But that's a side note, not for the selection.

I ordered it on the 14th and it's supposed to be here anywhere from the 25th to the 11th. I have five days left before I can demand a refund.I actually think it's better that I haven't read it yet, because I can be a bit more lenient on things. I can make the group the way I want while still following the Selection universe.
