We are trying something new and now have two different threads for each book discussion. This thread is for discussing our winner while you are reading the book. In this thread, please be careful to use spoiler tags to mark any comments that contain spoilers!

If you are using the app or if you don't know how to add spoiler tags and you want to comment with some spoilers, use the other thread marked SPOILERS NOT MARKED!:

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

If you are setting up email notifications and are worried about encountering spoilers, be careful setting up notifications to this thread because the emails might not handle spoiler tags correctly! If you are using the app, be careful viewing this thread because spoilers might not be hidden in the app!

Great Pam! :)

I plan to read this too, probably in May though. I think there was a Netflix or Amazon program based on this book too, wasn't there? I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly, but I have a vague memory of someone on NPR radio talking about it.

Pam Baddeley | 1536 comments The book took what seemed ages to turn up but I finally got it yesterday.

There was a mini series called Chenobyl which was on Amazon though I managed to get it on DVD a bit later. It's pretty good though undercut I think by the admission at the end that some of the characters are made up/compiled from other people. I actually thought it was based on Midnight at Chenobyl which I read a while back and which is a very comprehensive account, but it could be that the series is based on both books.

Ah Pam, that Amazon series was probably what I was thinking of that was on NPR. It could well be a different account.

I ordered my copy, but I'm really overwhelmed with reads; so I'll probably read it in the second half of the month. Sadly, they don't have this on Audible in English (only in Spanish), but it's pretty short and I can read it by physical copy.
