I'm curious, there were 6 votes for the book but this thread is silent. Фку there any difficulties with getting it or just a lack of interest?
Ok, no rush, I was just surprised that no one posted. Usually, I'm among the earliest posters, but this time I've already read it
I’m at about the halfway point in this book, it’s okay. It reminds me a bit of Six Wakes, but not as interesting.

Great!
Great!
I'm at 35 % now and I agree with Oleksandr's opinion and the points he mentions in his review. It's just not very good, has very unlikable characters, and has been tedious so far. I'm not a huge fan of murder mysteries to begin with, so they need to have fun, fascinating characters and most importantly really smart investigators and set-ups to wow me, which is just not the case here. I've read all the themes it brings up explored better elsewhere, so I'm calling it quits. One should never waste time with books one isn't enjoying, right?

Definitely! I actually like stories, that mix genres if they do it well - for example, I enjoyed a series of short stories by Larry Niven about Gil Hamilton.
