Oh my gosh, this is my favorite memoir by an autistic person ever. It is hilarious and well-written.

I got this from my library, so hope to read it later, as I had too many books on my list this month - like nearly always! ;)

My son has autism; this would be good for me to read. (They no longer use "Asperger's" in diagnoses.)

Finished this today, and it seemed a bit old-fashioned. Besides, I thought it was only partly about living in the spectrum but more about the author´s life as such. He must have been a distressing child, and his "pranks" even as an adult aren´t funny at all.

Hah, I loved this book and thought it was hilarious. I never thought about the fact that someone had to design the trick guitars that some bombastic heavy metal bands use, and the prank with the bathtub is memorable years after I first read this.

He's the elder brother of memoir writer Augusten Burroughs, and I think a certain sort of whimsy/humor runs in the family. I think either you resonate with it or you don't.

I am loving this memoir! I know someone on the Spectrum. The author’s descriptions of his thinking is much like the thinking of the person I know. I wish, though, he could feel more of John Elder’s humor in his differences.

I read this book back in 2010 and was really immersed in reading about John Elder Robison's story and experience. I am so happy to see that you read a book written by and about a subject with Asperger's syndrome, for I myself have Asperger's. What I liked is how honest Robison was about his story and experience and how candid he was about describing everything. He went to speak at the school I attended, but it was a year or so after I graduated.
