I think it is quiet simple. Or direct. ( Surely there might be deeper layers on what Neruda implied ). To me , it speaks of how to everyone Kashmir is heaven. Picturesque, touristy, pristine, heavenly, Divine almost like a moon in a poets yearning. But alas, when we look closely, Our moon has blood clots of years of suffering, oppression, grief and pain.

Today was the first meet of my brand new online Book Club On Kashmir called Kaeshir Kitaab. We have just started reading Our Moon Has Blood Clots: The Exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits by Rahul Pandita.
As we started discussing the book, Rakesh K. Kaul brought to our attention the quotations at the beginning of the book, one by Pablo Neruda and another by Anton Donchev.
What do you think why the book was titled so - "Our Moon Has Blood Clots"
