Samuel moved to sit under the tree a little ways from the shore, setting his bag down on the ground beside it. Honestly he didn't mind it here, the place almost felt a little bit like home climate wise. Kind of chilly a bit but he seemed to be fine with it. As he made himself comfortable under the tree he pulled out the book he gad been writing in since he had left his home. Technically speaking it wasn't a book, it was a leather bound black journal with an ecsissive amount of detail printed into the leather front. In the middle it was stamped with a large bear, what kind of bear you couldn't really tell, standing over the remains of a suit of armor, all of it enveloped in a circle out lined with different patterns of Ivey like plants that split off and covered all of the front. It was very old but this was the first time he had ever really used it. After his family perished it was his turn to add to the family journal, and perhapse even add more pages to it for the next generations to come. He sighed, breathing deep before he took out a quil and a little ink bottle to wright with. In this journal he really cared about his writing so he tried to make it look the best he could, and as traditional as he could. A light breeze came off the lake and ruffled his hair, really making him miss home.
After finishing the entry he kept the book on his lap, gently blowing on it tell it dried and then he closed it, tieing it shut with a long piece of leather and locking it with a small key that he then placed around his neck, fingering it lightly before he slipped the book back into his bag. The bag itself was also leather, but of a lighter color and it had an unusual amount of curious looking foliage patterns on it as well, along with the same bear printed at the top of the bag over the large opening in the middle of the bag. Fixing the way he sat he looked over the lake for a few more moments before slowly standing. He fixed his bags position against the tree so it wasn't so easily spotted and then made his way down to the water's surface. Looking out at the waters he half smiled before glancing down and finding a smooth rock at his feet. Samuel rubbed it between his hands, lightly breathing on it as he held it up to his face before he threw it over the surface of the water. It skipped at least ten times before splashing down into the depths, and pleased with himself he bent to pick another.

((don't mind at all, sorry for the late reply))
Samuel stood, looking out at the small waves created and soaking the beach-ish area of the lake. He bent, picking up another rock to throw across the lake's surface. He was about on his third rock when he finally noticed the woman sitting down by his bag. He stopped throwing rocks into the water, watching her from the waters edge for a few moments before he tossed the last rock into the water, watching it skip for a total of eight times before disappearing under the water's depths. Slowly he made his way back up to the tree, keeping his head bent just a bit as he came up to the tree, moving so that his bag was between the two before he sat down.
Pulling off his shoes he emptied the rocks and sand out, thumping it lightly on the ground before slipping his shoes back on, glancing over at the girl. He could pick out the title on the spine of the book, a small simple half smile appearing on his face before he looked away. He didn't break the silence, instead he dug in his back quietly before pulling out a baggie of no bake cookies and then held out the baggie to her, offering her some without saying a word.

(( so is that a "no I don't mind, come join in" or "nope, i'm waiting for maddí" ? haha :) ))
((both kinda? I don't mind if you do :) ))
((ok sweet :) I can leave when she comes back haha))
Skyler left her room and slowly made her way down to the lake. This was the perfect place to avoid people, the seclusions and peacefulness of the water almost always calmed her down after a day of chaos. She held her copy of The Moral Sayings of Publius Syrus along with her notebook and pencil close to her chest. As she approached the lake she heard the soft breathing of another person. Oh great... maybe I should go... she thought nervously. But it was too late, he probably had already seen her.
So, Skyler sighed and continued on her way. She picked a shady spot right near the water and dipped her feet in. Though she had picked a spot about a stones throw away from the other student, or at least she assumed he was a student, she figured that they would each keep to themselves. She opened her book to where she left off and began to read.

Samuel looked up when he heard some one else trotting up the path and then he watched her move down to a shady spot down by the waters edge. He tipped his head to the side a bit, looking over at the girl he sat by. He left the baggie of no-bake cookies with the girl, smiling at her in a friendly manner and giving her a light nod. Then he stood up and stretched, eyes gazing over the scenery tell he looked back at the other girl. His head tilted to the side, seeming to watch her for a moment before he grabbed his bag, moving off a bit to a better spot under another tree and then he sat down again before pulling out a sketch book. He looked back now at the new girl that had come to the lake as he pulled out his drawing pencil and started to sketch softly the starting lines of his subject. The way the sun and the water shimmered by the knew girl inspired him and he wanted to try and capture it.
Slowly the sketch took form, his eyes glancing from the sketch pad up to the girl again, he kind hoped she didn't notice, afraid she might get made if she knew he was sketching her. The scene was just so amazing though it would have been a crime in his mind for him not to try and catch it.

((Sorry- did he give her some cookies? I might of misread it.. Haha ))
((He gave Maddie's character cookies. Sorry, its really hard to differ between characters with how I wrote it ))
((Ok haha thanks))
Skyler sighed as she poorer over her book, jotting down quotes she liked. The cool breeze that wafted between the trees, rustling the leaves, blew Skylers hair in front of her face. She blew it back and pushed it behind her ear and flipped a page. But, as luck would have it, she sneezed at the same time. The tore the page from the book. Skyler let out an audible groan of frustration. not again... she thought bitterly. Then she remembered that there was another person around. She looked over at him, face blushing. But what she saw made her blush more, he was already looking at her. "Oh, sorry..." She murmured to him.

Samuel watched, his head lifting when he heard a page rip his eyes watching her tell she glanced up. He barely heard her say she was sorry but then he shook his head. Slowly he got up, grabbing his bag and then moved over to her. He set down his bag beside her and then smiled slightly, setting his sketch book; still open to that page he was sketching on, and then started digging in his bag. When he came out of the back he was holding binding glue he had used before to put new pages into his families journal, and some tape. "Here, use these to fix your page," he offered, handing her the equipment with a friendly-ish smile, "What do you happen to be reading if I might ask?"
Skyler took a sharp intake of breath as she saw him get up. Oh no... No no no... Please... She thought desperately shrinking away slightly. But her silent prayers were not answered, the boy sat down beside her. She wondered what he could possibly want. But all he did was offer her page glue. She raised her eyebrows skeptically but accepted it anyway. She had read his mind and saw that the offer was purely him being kind. "Th- thanks" she muttered before answering his question, oh- it its The Moral Sayings of Publius Syrus."
((Oh sweet!))
With another nervous glance away from the new boy she saw Danny. Skyler's face immediately brightened as she scooted away and began to stand. "I really am very sorry, but my... Um... Friend is o-over there. " she said pointing to Danny and scratching her nose to conceal yet another nervous blush. "I'll see you around... Th-thanks for the glue.. Again." She added before turning and walking quickly to her friend by the shore.

Samuel watched, head titled just slightly. He grabbed his sketch book and closed it as she took the glue and tape to fix the page, putting the sketch book back into his bag. He looked up when he heard her say thanks and then nodded, just before he saw the other person near the shore she seemed to be talking about. "Keep the glue," he told her before she left and went to join the man by the lake sore. He grabbed his bag and then moved away, back towards the other girl he had given the cookies to. He let out a small sigh as he sat down again, putting his bag between them and her say a good distance from her, more or less so it wasn't uncomfortabke for either of them. He sat back, leaning himself back against the tree. "How are the cookies?" he asked her, glancing over at her and The Harry Potter book she held. He had made them in his spare time as a snack but he found he hadn't eaten much of them and still had two big tuberwear containers full of them. "I'm Samuel," he stated quietly, his voice smooth but obviously sounded like he didn't usually talk much.
Skyler released a shy laugh of sorts. "Me? Making friends?" she asked shaking her head. "You know me better than that Danny, it takes a lot more than page glue for me to open up to someone..." She added. She sank down to her knees and cupped her hands in the water and lifted up some rocks from the bottom, and started inspecting them.
He shook his head, gesturing for her to take as many as she pleased. He watched her bookmark her book and then close her book, smiling after she spoke. He nodded slightly his eyes closing for a moment as he looked away and then looked back over at the lake. "That's a nice name. I believe it mean "little ruler" right?" he asked her quietly as he looked back at her after gazing at the water. He pulled his knees up to his chest, resting his arms around his legs and grabbing one of his wrists with his hand. He spoke quietly and with a strong Irish accent, making him sound a bit strange with how quiet and withdrawn he seemed to be.
Skyler shrugged but nodded too. "Yeah, that's true I guess." she commented before looking over her shoulder at the boy again. He seemed nice enough, and she wouldn't mind talking to him again sometime. She turned back to Danny to answer his question. "I came down here to read again, it's really peaceful this time of day. Why did you come down here?" she asked in return.
Skyler smiled and dropped her rocks back into the pond. She stood up again and looked at Danny. "Want to go get a bite to eat?" she asked him before stepping out of the water.
Skyler shrugged and trudged along beside him. "Don't know... we can go wherever." she said honestly. They passed between the trees and made their way slowly up to the road that led back into town.
Skyler pursed her lips. "But you know I cant decide on anything..." she muttered with a quiet dramatic sigh. "Ok," she said finally, "How about the cafe and bistro?"she suggested.
"Okey dokey." she said happily. "So- are we gonna walk there?" Skyler asked looking up at him.
Skyler smiled, "Great, because I really didn't want to walk." she teased.
((ill post))
((ill post))
Samuel smiled and then half nodded. "Depends on which part of Ireland your talking about though, if you are talking about where I come from we aren't actually part of Europe," he said quietly, "But if your talking about relative area of land masses then yes I would believe it would be classified as European in nature," he stated with a small laugh, one that barely could be classified as a real laugh. He set his head on his knees, watching her turn to face him better and he fixed how he was sitting, letting his knees fall apart and legs cross so he was sitting how she was. "I think most people call it and Irish accent though, least that's how I've heard it said most of the time. I'm not very good with the way people talk normally," he stated, his voice growing in a bit of strength since they where kind of talking about something that didn't depend on human related objects, but more on geography at the moment.
Samuel watched her smile, finding it very nice and a bit encouraging. He laughed a bit, a smile forming on his lips but he didn't show his teeth, giving her a small simpler smile. "Thank you, I know what you mean. Though, hearing everyone talk here is messing me up a bit since I'm so use to how everyone talks back home. Or at least how they use to," he stated, getting a bit quiet as he looked down at the ground, pulling up some of the grass. Blushing he lifted his head as she asked about his power, licking his lips to wet them a bit before he finally spoke. "Strength. I have the inherit ability to lift about almost anything, so far I've gotten to the weight equal to one of those really big dump trucks you see on the road sometimes. Thought, I'm still kind of working on it," he stated, starting to smiling again.
Samuel smiled a bit friendlier, really glade she seemed to be pleased by what he said. He eased up a bit on all the tension in his body, relaxing a bit as he remembered she had been reading earlier. "So, you like books right? Which genera are you really into?" he asked her, trying to keep the conversation going and it seemed to be a bit easier than he thought it would be. "I mean, I guess there is probably more than one huh, I know for me there is," he said, his voice giving a slight tremble before he looked away from her and at his bag, trying to think of what else he could possibly make a conversation with. It was high time he tried to actually socialize more often.
Samuel smiled, understanding completely what she meant. "I tend to lean towards fantasy, sci-friction stuff myself, though there is a few subjects in documentaries I'll read. I really liked the biography of Ben Franklin when I happened to be able to. I found it really interesting," he stated, lifting his eyes to look at her again. "Least I didn't ask about your favorite book, I know I've read way to many to figure out which would be my favorite," he laughed sinserely. "I mean there is so many books in the world but a lot of them are so good you can't really choose between them right?"
