I love it one of my favorite word games. I also was told about quordle which does four words at the same time which can be a lot more challenging.
I do the wordle every day. Is the game itself off-putting? I was off-put when the NY Times bought it, but I'm not offput by the game itself.
I also do worldle every day.

I often do hello wordl too - since wordle is only once a day, and you need another fix, you can do unlimited of these per day.

I agree only one puzzle a day just doesn't cut it. A lot of people have said since New York Times bought it they haven't liked it. I joined after it bought it so I haven't seen a big difference.

They didn't change the game.

I like solving wordle, but I'm definitely put off by people who see it as a competition, and those who try to calculate the best strategy for a fast solve.
I know folks who will use the same starting words every day; who will argue with others about whether it's smarter to "vowel hunt" or eliminate consonants. They seem to think there's a prize involved, like "Wheel of Fortune," and that their first words have to contain RSTLN & E. That's boring!

Sorry, my mistake. I've heard since New York Times bought it people were not happy with it. I assumed it was because it had changed some how?
I think they're unhappy because they know eventually it will go behind a paywall. Like all of the other Times games.
What IS off-putting is the fact that I haven't lost in 43 days, yet my "current streak" suddenly dropped to "1" today.
Today was hard. It took me all six guesses both today and yesterday. When people get it in two or three I feel so jealous that I slightly hate for a moment.
Today i carefully thought with pen and paper and got it in four. Double vowel twist for the win.

Your cache was flushed.

I almost put "canny" as my third, but used "candy" instead because I don't like to duplicate letters. Why? Because if I'm wrong I don't learn anything.
Mine went:
PUNCH
TONIC
CANDY
CANNY
From the first two guesses I knew the C had to be first, the N third, and probably an A second (no U, O, or I). And now you know WAAAY more than you wanted to about my wordle.
Did you read that the NYT switched out the original solution a couple days ago - it was going to be FETUS - because it was too much in the news??? Give me a break.
I got Canny in four.
I got today's in three with a lucky random guess - don't click if you haven't done today's puzzle yet:

Canny felt uncanny.

I'm now addicted to quordle.

Quordle lets you do practice runs, unlike wordle.

I play a few more each day on Wordle Archive.
When I am awake during the night, I think of all of the the five-letter words I can.
