What are your favorite books that you own? Do you have a bookish collection? A shelf of fantasy? Antique volumes? Show us some pictures! They don't have to be perfect like those bookstagram photos some people manage to pull off. Anything counts, whether you have a whole wall of shelves or only a little one in the corner.

Here's how you can add a photo on Goodreads:

1) Go to your profile and click on your profile picture.

2) Click "Add More Photos" in the upper right hand corner.

3) Upload a photo (or photos!) and click "Upload". (A title, description, and tags are optional.)

4) Ta da! Now you just need to "Copy Image Link" of the photo and paste it between the quotation marks of < img src= "paste image link here!" / >. Make sure you do this part on a laptop or Chromebook! Also make sure that you don't leave any spaces anywhere between the < and the > (I have them here so that Goodreads won't make the example into an actual image.

Here's a photo I took awhile ago. :) I tried to make it aesthetic, but it still wasn't the best. Ah well!

No, I actually haven't read it yet! Monster Ivy Publishing has these beautiful bookish boxes that they have for reviewers, though, and I was blessed to have won one of them. :)

I'm afraid I went for content over aesthetics haha So here is a real-life photo of my closet bookshelves categorized in a way that only I know lol. (Yes, my clothes share a closet with my books because priorities.)



Most of those are not even my favorites. Long story, maybe I'll post those later.

Ooh, thanks for sharing, Celia! I can make out two sets of Lotr (right?) and one copy of The Hobbit (and another Tolkien book in the upper left?)! What are the rest, though? I'm especially curious what the box set in the upper left is!

Yep, I have two sets of LOTR. The box set LOTR on the top shelf is a novelty, fake leather set that was just so cute I couldn't resist. Other than that I have The Tolkien Reader, The Annotated Hobbit, The Children of Húrin, The Legend of Sigurd & Gudrún, and Letters from Father Christmas. Most of these were gifted to me by my family who knows me so well haha

Ah, you've hit on one of my best finds! That is a complete 1970 box set of The Chronicles of Narnia that I bought for $4 at my library! I couldn't believe it when I found it... I felt like a robber walking to my car lol Isn't the artwork fantastic??

Yes, i've been debating whether or not I want to get that LotR set as well! Do you read from that edition? I know the grey deluxe one-volume edition is great for reading, but wouldn't the faux leather peel? Still, it looks great on the shelf!

WOW, that is crazy cool! Do you know how much they'd be for if you looked for them on Ebay or something?

I've got a few shelves, but they're now super organized, and they're stuffed with books! I'll take some pictures to share, though! I've got a small Tolkien collection that I'm pretty proud of :)

Hey Sydney! I’ve never used Lily’s technique of hosting on Goodreads, so I’m not sure there. I use https://imgbb.com/ for free image hosting. After I upload there I copy and paste the “direct link” (ends .jpg or .png usually) and use the code in the “some html is ok” link at the top right corner of the Goodreads comment box.

Okay! And make sure the image(s) are somewhere online, too, like on a Facebook page or as a pin on Pinterest.
