My mom hates Salmon she says it taste to fishy. I don't mind it if it's cooked right. The one thing I aboslutly hate about fish is when you get a piece where every bite you take you get a bone DX!

IDK, i don't like most sea foods.

actually i have just started like really liking sea food but the bones are kinda annoying

one time my mom gave me some crab, she said it was good, when i tried it, she realized it was the gross part about crabs!!!

Yay! yah my family and i went to a japanese/chinese restaurant and they had sushi and i tried one and it was not that great tasting to put it lightly

You people are crazy! Sushi is awesome! What kind of roll did you have? You might have had Nigiri which is raw fish on a ball of rice. You also might have eaten a roll with Sashimi which is the raw fish. But there are a lot of rolls with out sashimi and nigiri isn't the only thing you can order. If you ever go out and eat sushi again look for these rolls: Caterpillar, Dragon, Waynes, and California Roll. After all my sushi experiances the california roll is bland and I don't like it. Also if you don't like the raw fish stay away from anything that says Tuna, Salmon, or Yellow Tail, it is almost never cooked if you order it. Look for rolls that say shrimp, crystal shrimp, scallops, and/or Unagi (Eel). If your ordering a roll and it has words you don't know such as Unagi, go up to the nigiri section and look for the word next to it should be a translation of what the fish is. Also Tobiko are little fish eggs. I enjoy them but some others often don't so watch out for them. Finally the green stuff served on the plate is Wasabi STAY AWAY FROM IT! Unless you like really really spicy things. The pink stuff (also can be white) is ginger I like to put it in my soy sauce or use as a piece that's been soaked in soy sauce for flavoring on octopus nigiri.One last thing many sushi places are duds and sometimes it takes a little searching to find a good one don't give up on sushi tell you are completely and ttly convinced you hate it.

Wow rachel sounds like ur an expert :) I had a crab sushi I think....it had something else in it too but none of it was raw and it still wasn't good

heck yes

Sushi isn't a resturant. It can be served in a resturant. Most places are called sushi bars and you can sit at the sushi bar and watch the chef prepare your food right in front of you. But in shushi places there also usualley tables to sit at. I prefer bar cause you can order one roll at a time instead of a platter of like four or five rolls.
