This is a fun series! I like both detective novels and fantasy, so it’s a great meshing of the two. Like you said, they’re great for quick reads.

Harry Dresden is a present-day wizard in Chicago. Business as a wizard is slow, so he assists the Chicago PD with cases that go beyond human capability. A double murder using black magic is just the case to get him out of the red, but consulting on this case may also get him killed.
I really enjoyed this book. It was nothing like any mystery/detective novels I have read before. Harry Dresden has a dry wit I can appreciate and nothing but hilarity ensues as he attempts to solve this case. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a light, funny and entertaining read.
