Kai set up a corner of the room for the new dog, a bed, and food underneath a small tent she thought would be cute. She smiled, waiting for Ford.

Ford sorta kicked the door open because big o'l dog in his arms. "Sorry." He said and placed the dog down. "There you go boy...So....turns out he has no owner." Ford said honestly.

She smiled. "Oooh, that's good news." She pets the dog after letting him smell her, leading him to the food and his bed. "What else?"

"The paw was really messed up...so....they almost had to cut it off." Ford said honestly

The dog whined just hearing that.

Kai frowned, and eased the dog's mind with a touch. The perk of Kai's quirk is it worked on anything with a complex mind. "Aww, poor thing."

"Yeah...old Avery here has been through a lot..." Ford said honestly

The dog, now named Avery, gave a happy pant.

"Ooh? A name?" She sat on the floor with Avery, petting him and ruffling his fur.

"Yup. A old english name. Means leader of the elves believe it or not." Ford said honestly

Avery rolled over wanting his belly rubbed.

"Full name Ensign Avery."

She giggled and rubbed his belly. "I think it's neat. Right, Aves? Hm? Good boy."

Avery kicked his leg loving this.

"I'll get him a collar tomorrow. For now we gotta watch that paw alright?" Ford said smiling at the dog.

Kai agreed and rubbed his belly more. "There's his bed." She motioned to it for him. "And his food." She smiled at Avery.

Avery gave Kai a lick.

"Looks like he likes you." Ford said as he smiled.

She giggled and pet him more. "Well, good. He'll be with me a lot unless you're over here. So that's good."

Avery REALLY loved the belly rubs.

"That is good. Plus it means he'll try and behave more.

"He better behave." She looked at him seriously, still rubbing his belly. She grabbed Ford's hand and pulled him down to them, kissing him quickly. "Well, now you got a dog."

"yeah...and his a brave pupper aren't ya Aves?" Ford said as he belly rubbed Avery.

Avery wagged his tail.

"Who's a good boy? Who's a good boy!?"

Kai chuckled and sat up in her bed watching him with Avery. "Mm." She reached and ruffled Fords hair and Avery's fur. "I see similarities."

Ford laughed. Then got an Idea. "Kai you accidental GENIUS THAT PERFECT!!!" Ford said and booted up the game real quick, not noticing that Kai had the consol to play it. "Thank god the data is stored on the disk." Ford said as he quickly got to his profile and clicked "EDIT" for his custom emblem.

Kai looked at Avery then at Ford and shrugged, patting her lap to have Avery come to her.

"Done." Ford said as now in place of the angry floppy eared dog from before was Avery, holding a bayonet in his mouth, and giving a serious look in his eye.

Avery limped over to Kai and got on her lap.

Kai laughed. "Aww that's cute. It's perfect. " She strokes Avery's fur, scratching behinds his ears.

"Thank you." Ford said wiith a smile.

Avery liked getting scratched behind the ears, though not as much as bully rubs.

She chuckled and started rubbing his belly again. "How's that?"
"You're welcome, Fuerte."

Avery, much like thumper from Bambi, thumpped his leg as he enjoyed the belly rubs.

Kai smiled and laid down next to him.

Avery cuddled up next to Kai. He liked these humans.

Kai giggled and rubbed his belly more. "Aww so cute. Good thing we get to keep you."

Avery just sorta wiggled his body. Loving the belly rub more then anything.

She chuckled and motioned Ford over. "Come on..."

Ford came over. He looked a bit tired.

"Sit." She patted the bed next to them.

Ford did as asked.

She smiled and kissed him quickly. "There, now its complete." She rubbed Avery's belly and fluffed Ford's hair.

Ford smiled.

Avery kept wiggling.

Kai snuggled them, eyes close. "You both are cute."

Ford blushed.

Avery just wagged his tail more.

Kai chuckled. "See? Cute" She kisses his nose, stopped rubbing Avery's belly.

Avery gave a sad whine when the belly rubs stopped.

Kai went back to rubbing his belly. "Sorry Aves. Ford distracted me.'

Avery wiggled once more, loving the belly rubs.

She chuckled and closed her eyes, rubbing his belly. "Ford??"

"Yeah?" Ford said.

She kept rubby Aves belly, she flushed. "Kisses? Aves is making it hard " She pouted.

Ford giggled and kissed Kai on the lips. "Now Stop being a pain in the butt mr." Ford said to Avery.

Avery yawned and went to bed.

She chuckled and leaned over the dog, kissing Ford back, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Ford just smiled and returned the favor.

She pulled back a little. "I wonder if Aves is almost like bringing home a kid." She giggled.

Ford giigled. "If he is then we're taking care of a 50 pound baby." Ford joked.
