Mayor Finnigan led August and Alisa into the post office.

Alisa watched what August did first before doing anything

Mayor Finnigan led them to a huge metal case.

"This is a major weapon that the Capitol will be using in the Games to...'push' the tributes to be more entertaining. This will be put inside a package to be mailed. You will hide inside this weapon.".

"What are they doing to 'push' them?" Alisa said speaking to him for once

"It may look big, so most people assume it's for something physical. But no. This is a machine that the Capitol will use to contaminate every water resource in the arena. The moment someone drinks this, they will have wild hallucinations that will make them extremely violent, and make them lose control of their motor skills. Similar to Tracker Jackers but...much, much worse.".

((Oh I was going to say your son will be drinking that but oh well))

(( If you said that Alisa will prbably be dead Mayor Eldridge is ~mourning~ ))

Alisa's eyes grew wide at that, "Whats the point in it, they're already killing eachother?! Isn't that bad enough?"

"I don't know much about it...", Mayor Finnigan said.

"More tributes are making smarter decisions. Climbing trees. Staying out of trouble. The Capitol needs some way to get more entertainment.", August growls.

Alisa felt for her daggers hidden under her shirt, wishing she could thrown them at all the horrible people of teh capital

August brushed his shoulder with Alisa's.

"Your friend will be fine. This will be the last Hunger Games the Capitol will ever throw, and we'll be stopping it before it starts.".

Alisa nodded still angered

"Well, it's time to get in!", Mayor Finnigan says, tutting.
"It will only be a few hours, at most.".

August climbs into the large machine. He could fit inside easily.".

Alisa did too feeling the close proximity between the two

Mayor Finnigan closed the machine. The wires and screens inside the machine grew iridescent blue.

Alisa, realized she would be in a box with him this close, for over haf a day, her face heated up slightly

"Well...this is awkward...", August says, blinking.

Alisa laughed "What was it like growing up in your district" ((I forgot which one it was)) She said trying to make small talk

"It was fun, similar to your experience, I assume. I used to hunt with my brother all the time, before he got reaped.".

"I would hunt with my older siblings, and hang out with Tessa." She said voice cracking slightly at all the lost friends and family

"It's only a matter of time until you see both again. Don't worry.".

"What do you mean both again? my siblings died." ((WHAT OF THEY DIDNT AND THEY BECAME AVOX"S OR SOMETHING))

(( I AM WORKING THAT INTO THE PLOT IT'S TOO GOOD OF AN OPPORTUNITY ))

"Oh. Well, were they in the woods when they 'died'?".

“Yes, what’re you getting at?”

"Well...it's always possible they were caught. And those who are caught usually become avoxes.".

“Caught? What are you going on about? Did you not sleep last night?”

"The Capitol could have found them hunting in the woods. That makes sense, doesn't it? Did you actually see them, or did they just disappear?".

“I watched their bodies get taken away in the games, they died, I don’t remember how as I tend to forget it.”

"...In the Games?".

“Yes.”

((It wasn’t there bodies mwhahah))

"Well...I'm sorry for your loss.".

((No they are alive it’s just they got taken away during the games and got told they died those were dummies being take. Away))

Alisa nodded tryin to take away the memory ((Maybe they work along side them because they tried to revolt in the games))

“Thanks.” Alisa said quietly wanting to curl into a ball and get away from the world

August eventually fell asleep

Alisa saw August falling asleep and wish she could do the same, she knew she had huge bags under her eyes but couldn’t fall asleep so instead she got lost in her thoughts

((Wanna one skip to a few hours later when he wakes up and she is still awake and maybe he sees the bags under her eyes, and she plays it off as one of us needs to keep a watch))

August woke up yawning. He turns to look at Alisa, but he notices the bags under her eyes.

"The trip to the Capitol is supposed to be a few hours. You should have slept.".

“One of us has to stay awake, he said about 15 hours it’s been about 2.” She mumbled wishing she could go to sleep

"I'll take watch now then. You haven't slept last night either, Alisa. Get some sleep.".

“I’m fine.” Alisa insisted

"What's on your mind?", August asks, ignoring her.

Alisa shook her head trying to get away from that, truth was she has only slept an hour or two for the past three years, since her siblings 'died'

"You don't have to talk about it, but you need your energy.".

"I'll be fine without sleeping, its not like I have anymore." She mumbled the last bit
