Hello Elizabeth and Storm,

I have read through Chapter 8 of HATCH. It's got me hooked! But very worried about out four protagonists and the others like them.

With everything going on in the world today, it is not that far out of the realm of believability. Tense and creepy. Especially with the UFO/UAP discussions going on today and the book I just read by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child: Diablo Mesa.

I am noting that the author is Canadian, and that BLOOM must have taken place on an island off of British Columbia/Vancouver. Is that correct? What you remember?

However, they have been moved somewhere else in North America, maybe the US in HATCH, a Cold War location, but not confirmed in the story yet.

Thanks for your comment Donna. I finally got through chapter 8. I've been managing to squeeze in a few pages most days and it's taking me awhile.
I was thinking that this story takes place in Canada. Seems like that was the setting of Bloom. However, since they are in an undisclosed location at this point, they could be anywhere.
The attempted bombing of the space ship was disturbing and premature in my opinion. I was glad of the outcome, but it may come back to bite the human race, since now they've shown themselves to be hostile. The kids are in an intense situation being caught between two worlds. It makes sense that they would each be having different feelings about their situation.
