Oh my word, what a battle!!! I was sad that Twindyl died but I wasn't upset about Clubs and Dockson. Loved it when Vin killed Straff. That was perfect!! It is late so I will have to finish the book tomorrow because I NEED to finish it.

I agree, that was badass, but still didn't have to kill the horse. It is just like reading Remarque all over again as a kid.
I finished this so early in the morning, I just imagine this is how tired Vin felt at the end, under all that pewter.
I wasn't ready for everyone to die in the same chapter!! I was mostly heartbroken when Tindwyl died, because she had someone who really loved her.
I never liked Spook in the first book and now.. I don't hate him, but I can't believe what a coward he is.
Also it is to be expected but I really loved how Vin made everyone bow down to Elend, as their rightful king, he deserves it.
That. Was. So. Freaking. Intense. Oh god..Tindwyl, why?!!!! I would've loved to see how Sazed's relationship with her could've developed in the next book. I feel for Sazed! :-(
Vin is just too much of a genius, I can't even deal! Her killing Straff the way she did.. Love!!! The fact that she figured out how to control the koloss.. Blown away!! I'm blown away by how awesome her character is.
I was completely shocked when Elend killed Jastes. Vin, Vin, Vin. You killed Straff without telling him that you married his son? I would have totally used that to torture him a bit.
Sazed's breakdown felt appropriate. Poor guy. I am sad about Dockson and Clubs. Tindwyl too, to a lesser degree.
Still not sure what to think about Allrianne. And I feel like Spook could be a wildcard in the future as well.
So, was Hoid the skaa that was calling Sazed by the name Holy First Witness? If not, I haven't spotted him yet.
I was on the edge of my seat for that entire section. It was so intense. Sanderson writes battles so well!! Vin is awesome! Figuring out the koloss, making it there in general, and how she power kicked Straff to death. She's so bad ass!
Only a bit left but what will happen? Worried there will be another heart breaking twist.
I'll say this again. Where's Marsh? I figured he would show up by now.
This part was SO good. Wait...I feel like I've said that before. But seriously I haven't read any other book where the battle scenes are this intense and well written. @message 5, Michelle. I'm so confused as to where Hoid is in this book. I guess that skaa could have been him.
@message 3, Diana. I thought that exact thing about the horse. What did it do?
I wasn't really surprised at anything in this part but I'm very upset, Tindwyl and Clubs' death was really sad but I feel less connected to Dockson because I found him kind of annoying in this book. Nevertheless I'm devastated to see any of the crew die. However , Straff's death was so satisfactory and I love Vin's final acceptance of her power and control. I am worried about Elend though because of the mist spirt and the fact the vin cannot protect him.
I'm really looking forward to the final part of this book as hopeful it will as wet questions about Vin's power and the Well itself!

Which part of the book has been your favorite so far? Anything happen that completely surprised you?
