It was another great story in the series. It took me through a lot of emotions. I cried for Sebastian. I was surprised by Hendon's conversations with Sebastian. It sounds like he still has deep feelings for Sophia. I'm also wondering if the fact that he had contact with her is going to cause problems with Sebastian and Hendon again

I can't wait until Hero tells Sebastian that she is pregnant. I wonder if he will get his girl this time.

I'm also wondering about Victoria's baby. If she has a boy Jarvis will be happy. Victoria could start to cause trouble with Hero. There are so many possibilities for the future.

I loved this story, chock full of history and political intrigue in a court I found confounding in the past. I walked away feeling much better about my grasp of this era.

I feel very sad for Sebastian. After all these years, to have her literally die in his arms was cruel. His relationship with Hendon should be okay but I’m hoping he’ll shed some light on other things now. Amanda is such a lost cause.

I hadn’t considered the implications of Victoria having a boy! Chilling.

If Victoria has a son, that will be a real turn of events. Well, perhaps no more than if she just keeps breathing. Would she be more diabolically clever than Jarvis and take him out of the picture?

I think she’s a different category of diabolical. Perhaps worse than Jarvis because she’s packaged so nicely.

Why was Amanda even there to begin with? And then to make no acknowledgment of her mother's death. She is a cold, cruel woman and I can hardly believe she is related to Sebastian and Hendon.
