I am on chapter 7 now and I have to say I dont hate it. They drink a bit too much wine for my taste but let‘s not be pedantic.

The worldbuilding is okey, so far we learned, that ppl can alternate their shadows or lose them entirely and that messes with their emotions. Have y‘all understood that the same way as I?

I am exciter to learn what this book of night actually is, so I‘ll be listening more today.

That's what I gathered! I love that the shadows seem like their own separate entity in a way!

I found it interesting that this book takes place in the modern world with everything from Tiktok to Zoom haha. I am not the biggest fan of modern fantasy novels so I wasn’t able to push through it :(

Same! I prefer high fantasy types over urban fantasy. But this book definitely wasn’t a read in one sitting type book for me. I had multiple breaks 😅 However, I did end up enjoying it! The concept is cool! Plus I like pretty much anything involving shadows 👀
