Love in the Time of Cholera discussion

I was at my local library today and in the young adult section that a small shelf of classic literature. Although the books were old, they didn't look well used, at least by the current core students. If you were going to recommend classics for young people to read for fun, what would they be?

I'm thinking of “Love in the Time of Cholera,” “Never Let Me Go,” “Tales of Two Cities,” “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy,” and “The Long Goodbye.” Maybe “Cities of Thieves.” “All the Light We Cannot See.” “Dracula.” “Black Boy.”
