Hello! Since I'm still new to the sapphic book world, I wanted to know which is your favorite sapphic book and why I should read it :)

Gosh, I have no idea which is my favorite, because there are so many good options! It depends what kind of stories you like. Some from the genres I enjoy:- Fairytale retelling (specifically "beauty and the beast", with a lady dragon): 'In the Vanishers' Palace'
- Traditional folktale vibes: 'When the Tiger Came Down the Mountain'
- Adventure/horror manga (with cute slow-burn romance): 'Otherside Picnic'
- Cosmic horror (with homeless protagonist): 'The Worm and His Kings'
- Fantasy + social commentary (Mermaid protagonist is sapphic and carries memories of her people's slave ancestors): 'The Deep'
- Non-gender-essentialist feminist alternate-history witches: 'The Once and Future Witches'
- Steampunk magical mystery: 'A Master of Djinn'
- Next-gen Latin magical realism (with flower magic): 'Wild Beauty'
- Historical fiction + light magical realism: 'The Passion'
- Mellow historical fiction: 'Women of the Silk'
- Spooky historical fiction: 'Affinity'
- Historical fiction set during 1918 flu in a maternity ward: 'The Pull of the Stars'
- Historical romance novel (with scientist protagonist): 'The Lady's Guide to Celestial Mechanics'
- Time-travel enemies-to-lovers: 'This is How you Lose the Time War'
- Multiverse X-files-ish sci-fi: 'The Doors of Eden' (Still reading this one but REALLY good so far!)
- Alternate LGBT+ friendly human societies (High % of the stories): 'The Birthday of the World'
Full reasons I like them are in the reviews!
Ooh, "Books and Bao" (one of my favorite Booktube channels) just posted a video on "5 must-read modern lesbian novels". I haven't read any of them yet, but they sound amazing!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_2d2...
Afterlove by Tanya Bryne is an awesome paranormal romance between two girls, it’s like there are two parts 1 being a cute romance, falling in love sequence and 2 being after she dies and in the ‘afterlive’ and all that paranormal goodness 💕🏳️🌈
I have too many favorites to list them all, but just a few: All the Little Moments by G Benson
Without a Front: The Producer's Challenge by Fletcher DeLancey
Breaking Character by Lee Winter
I also have a longer list of favorites on my website: https://jae-fiction.com/jaes-favorite...
Post-apocalyptic and funny --> Rabbits of the Apocalypse . All characters are badass. Shell Game by the same author is also exceptional, and a book about pirates (double win!)
Tryst Six Venom --> very hot (adult) and well written, somehow I got attached to these main characters.
Charon Docks at Daylight --> best enemies to lover story during the zombie apocalypse days. You will be scared of the pagecount, until you get sucked into the story and the main characters dynamic, and then you can't get enough of it.
My favourite sapphic story is We Are H.E.L.L by JC Rowe.Kinda YA kinda not as it has some dark themes and spice but really really good.
I loved The One Woman by Laura May. It's set across the continents, spicy and I could relate to the conflict of the main character.
gideon the ninth, It's a series and sincerely nothing ever compares to it. It was sooo good it ruined the experience of reading any other books after it. highly recommend it.
I love all of Monica Mccallen’s books. And Addison Clarke’s Moonflower Cove series is absolutely perfect!
