By Darkness Hid is first book in a trilogy of books, all of which I’ve read twice and I highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys fantasy and adventure!
The main character, Achan Cham, is a kitchen servant and orphan. He’s dreamed of becoming a Kingsguard Knight, but that is something “strays” as orphans are called, cannot legally become. However, circumstances change drastically, and Achan is pulled into an rollicking adventure that will change his life and many others, forever.
If this book sounds interesting to you, check it out! Or, if you have a question, feel free to post!
Also, if you you want to pick out a Christian YA book to be next week’s book, just let me know!

Oh, and the book doesn't have to be Christain. Just clean. :)

The book is about Finley Sinclair who is not your typical eighteen-year-old. She's witty, tough, and driven. With an upcoming interview at the Manhattan music conservatory, Finley needs to compose her audition piece. But her creativity disappeared with the death of her older brother, Will.
She decides to study abroad in Ireland so she can follow Will's travel journal. It's the place he felt closest to God, and she's hopeful being there will help her make peace over losing him. So she agrees to an exchange program and boards the plane.
Beckett Rush, teen heartthrob and Hollywood bad boy, is flying to Ireland to finish filming his latest vampire movie. On the flight, he meets Finley. She's the one girl who seems immune to his charm. Undeterred, Beckett convinces her to be his assistant in exchange for his help as a tour guide.
Anyway, I really liked this book. It really got me thinking. It's not just another romance, it hits on deep issues. So, if you have any questions, feel free to post. And if you've actually read this before, I'd love to here your thoughts on it. :)

This is the first book in the Ilyon Chronicles. There are two written so far and they are both very good. Resistance is about a girl named Kyrin and her brother Kaden, and a half-blood boy named Jace.
Kyrin and Kaden Altair were taken from their home at a young age and forced to serve under the emperors influence. The emperor has forbidden that anyone serve Elôm the one true God under penalty of death. Kyrin and Kaden find themselves in jeopardy as their faith in Elôm becomes more apparent when Kyrin's unique observational skills and perfect memory place her in service of the emperor.
But there are those who are resisting the emperor and fighting back for what they believe. They are the resistance and as more people's lives are endangered the more the resistance grows.
Jace is a half-blood Ryrik, a race of cruel and heartless beasts. Forced into slavery at a young age because of his blood line, Jace struggles to find a reason to live. After being rescued from his life of slavery he is taken in by followers of Elôm. He is taught their beliefs and shown love for the first time in his life. Jace will have to decide what he believe's about himself and Elôm, and struggle with his vengeful feelings and Ryrik blood.
This book is about the struggle for freedom and the individual journeys of the characters as they try to find who they truly are and where they belong. It's an inspiring, clean, christian book that I would recommend highly to those who love YA fiction.

So, that was my little blurb of the book. I highly recommend this book, it's been my favorite that I've read so far this year! And I'm also reading the second one, and it's even better:D
