First of all . . .
Hmm.. Well, whatever we do, we should make it so everyone has an equal or almost equal part in the plot. I have been in some where one or two people were the majors, and the rest of us were minor supporting characters. I like fantasy, and sometimes Sci-Fi. :)
well in my other writing group, we just post between 2or 3 sentences to a paragraph of the story and just go from what the previous post was. For example we might have 20 posts into the story when someone will suddenly write ((Hey, I think that they should... etc)) and we talk a while about a kinda loose idea for what happens next. That's just how I've done them before. If you don't like that, I'm sure that others will have suggestions too.

I always get so confused in group stories...
It's VERY easy to get confuzzled....*sgih*(I know this is off-topic, but does anyone know when Ice Age 3 is out on DVD? My brother wants to know.)

Mmmm, or maybe we could just have a cast of characters and people could choose what they want to be instead of having a set character, like in a roleplay.

okay, what do we want the names to be? What's the gender of the main character? Are we going to have more than one main character?

Lets say I wrote a paragraph. That would be the beginning of the story. Then the next person would write the next sentence - paragraph, then the next etc.etc...
We might have an Idea for a plot that we wont to suggest to the other writers that we put in double parentahsees(( )) so everyone knows that isn't actually part of the story, but no one actually has to follow that plot if they don't like it. The plot can always be changed too as the story continues.
Whoever the characters are in the story, anyone can write about them and what they're doing. Not just one specific person restriced to writing one specific character.

My cats eat bunnies for breakfast!(Seriously though, they do. I fed them late one morning and when I went off the deck one of them had a rabbit that was bigger than she was!)
(my cat does stuff like that alot, but mostly she kills mice and large birds)

All these questions need to get answered before we can start writing.
I was thinking along the lines of a fantasy, maybe or I have a cool idea for a Sci-Fi. But that's just my opinion, what do you guys think?
