Play Book Tag discussion

This book is the ninth in the delightful Maisie Dobbs series. Set in 1933, there was lots of interesting information about life in Britain between the wars. It was obvious in this book that Europe was heading towards WW2, and so it was interesting to see Maisie deal with the dilemma of what she should keep to herself in the interest of her country when that meant that there was a risk that justice would not be done. I also really liked how we see Maisie’s life continue and her personal life develop, as well as that I couldn’t guess the solutions to the mysteries in this book as quickly as I sometimes have done in previous instalments.
