These events sound amazing but being on the other side of the country from them makes them difficult to get to. :(
I just checked hotel availability because I live 6 hours away.All the Hilton hotels are sold out, similar results at Mariott's with just a few rooms left about 4-8 miles from Williamsburg.
I think I'll take a pass and try to book early for next year.
You're best bet is probably when they formally announce the next Con, book a room at the Doubletree using the STC discount. You have until something like 48 before the date to cancel without penalty.
Got my hotel room and am so excited! This will be my first Con! I am really hoping for a list of all of the vendors, so I have time to make a plan before the event. Alan, if you see a short brunette looking terrified, come get me!

Haaa. I'll keep my eyes open. If you see a guy in a Cthulhu, Ghosterbusters or Kansas Jayhawks t-shirt, especially hanging around Tim Lebbon, Ronald Malfi or Mike Duke, it's probably me.
