The plot: a man stumbles into the police station in a small Australian town and claims to have been abducted by my a man who had told him he was a serial killer. He had narrowly escaped. Shortly after a second man comes by and claims that he too had escaped from a serial killer- namely the first guy. So they accuse each other of the same crime! It's a fairly new book- 2018-2021. And I'm 99% sure that it's set in Australia. It was awesome and I want to read it again!
