Here are your mini challenges for March.

As always, you may use books from any genre for this challenge. You may only use a book once for this challenge, but may use it for other challenges. Also, you do not have to choose your books ahead. If you do choose ahead, you can change your list at any time.

Have fun!

1. March 5 is Multiple Personality Day: Read a book by an author who writes under another name (for example, this month's featured author).

2. March 10 is Middle Name Pride Day: Read a book by an author who uses a middle name (e.g.: Louisa May Alcott, Arthur Conan Doyle).

3. March 11 is Worship of Tools Day: Hammer or pliers, screwdriver or drill — read a book with some sort of tool on the cover.

4. March 17 is Saint Patrick's Day, and March is also Irish American Heritage Month: In honor of the wearin’ o’ the green, read a book with a green cover.

5. March 25 is Waffle Day: Read a book that depicts breakfast on the cover, or in which someone eats breakfast.

Initials aren't names per se, so... I think we're going to have to say no -- but any author using three names together -- such as those in the above examples -- will count. Other examples would be Susan Wittig Albert, Ann Voss Peterson, Wendy Lyn Watson, Elizabeth Lynn Casey, Elizabeth Spann Craig, Daryl Wood Gerber, Anne Rivers Siddons, Molly Cox Bryan -- just to name a few. ;-)

Linda (rudylkr) | 8982 comments I think you know you have a problem when you decide to check out the large print copy of the book simply because it's cover is green and the regular print copy is not so it fits the challenge better - that's what happened to me when I went to order St. Patrick's Day Murder (which I was planning to read in March anyway). Here is what I've come up with so far. Still need to check my shelves for a couple of categories.

Multiple Personality Day - A Bicycle Built For Murder

Middle Name Pride Day - We'll Meet Again by Mary Higgins Clark

Worship of Tools Day - Hammer or pliers, screwdriver or drill — read a book with some sort of tool on the cover.

Saint Patrick's Day and Irish American Heritage Month - St. Patrick's Day Murder

Waffle Day - Read a book that depicts breakfast on the cover, or in which someone eats breakfast.

Juliet Blackwell, Jennie Bentley, and Kate Carlisle also have series that would fit the "tool" challenge.

Valerie: I'm interested in where the bit of a love triangle goes as well, especially seeing as the two men seem to have become friends.

I need two more books yet -- well, maybe only one. I'm not very far into the book I'm reading right now, and for the life of me cannot recall if we've had breakfast yet. Seeing as it is set at a hotel, I'm sure there's bound to be such a scene before the end, LOL. I also have my green cover lined up(Buried in a Bog) for when I've finished the current read.
