We can finally nominate for our next read and our next genre up is Catholic fiction. Let's take the next four or five days to nominate a Catholic fiction work.

I'll be first. I'd like to nominate The Diary of a Country Priest by Georges Bernanos. It's 99 cents on Kindle right now.

We had this come up once. I don't recall what we decided upon. Kerstin do you recall?

Since you're a regular Mark I'm going to say yes. Go ahead and nominate your book. I remembered the previous case was where the author, who had never posted here before, nominated her book and got a bunch of people who had also never been here before to vote for it. We didn't feel that was ethical. So go ahead, but please don't push people who don't participate here to come here and vote for it. Is that fair?

Absolutely fair. I really don't understand people who try to stuff the ballot box like that. It's not going to win them any friends!

Interesting. I may pick that up whether it wins or not. I'm always impressed by people who are able to persevere and complete a novel. Kudos on the accomplishment Mark.

Same here. It's on my list. I may vote for it.

Oh, this sounds interesting! I've been slowly listening to a podcast on the history of the Vikings, and Lindisfarne was quite the raid!

OK, is this it? We have four nominations. I usually like five for a vote. So one more but I'll give it until tonight. The next to nominate will be the last but it has to come in before 10 PM EST.

Frances Richardson | 840 comments With congratulations to you, Mark, we need five books and so I am going to nominate the book I’ve had in mind for weeks: Come Rack! Come Rope!, by Robert Hugh Benson.
