Goodreads Librarians Group discussion

Hi there,

Some time ago, a Librarian helpfully removed incorrect books from my profile. The thread showing this is here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Unfortunately, one of these books, Tarak's Dust of Desire, keeps being added to my profile. This is a work of semi-erotic fiction, and I really don't want it being attached to my career simply because I share the author's name.

I'd truly appreciate any help. For clarity, I am Jason Warren, and the only book I have authored is Creating Worlds: How to Make Immersive Theatre.

I have moved the other books. It will take time for them to disappear from your page due to caching, but they are gone from your list of books.

The problem is that you have claimed the default profile for that name, so any new imported books/editions land on your page. You could contact Support and ask to be moved to a different profile so this does not keep happening.

i would ask GR if they could change your name to Jason^^Warren (the ^^ are spaces that don't show in how your name is presented but in how its saved in the database) - otherwise, like said above, you have the default name and anything written by someone with the name Jason Warren will end up on your profile when GR does its automatic imports - there is nothing we can do to stop that, aside from moving it when they do populate

There is already a 2 space profile Dee; that's where the books have been moved off his page.
