It's getting to be everyone's favorite time of the year, and it's time for one of our favorite challenges. To give everyone ample time, and to enjoy Halloween as long as possible, this year's challenge will run SEP. 1 through NOV. 30.

The challenge is to read horror stories that meet one of the listed Halloween related subjects, either in title, theme or even book cover. The 13 topics are:

are we able to combine if more than one of those things is in a book? So can I read one book that has both a werewolf and a zombie?

You can apply things as you see fit. Last year I read a book about zombie cats and counted is as both zombies and cats. There are no hard and fast rules to meet the challenge.

The challenge doesn't officially begin until Sep 1. Starting then, on the HA home page there'll be a box to sign up under the challenge description. You can look at the summer challenge that's still there to see what it will eventually look like.

I have not read that book since I was in high school (more years ago then I care to think about!) I might consider a buddy read on it if you are interested.

I'm interested in this, but I have one question, I was getting ready to read "Zombies versus Aliens versus Vampires versus Dinosaurs" by Jeff Abugov. Would this qualify for a book under Vampires, Zombies, Monsters or all three?
