No. Dark Moon, Shallow Sea is set in an original fantasy world. It's also epic fantasy instead of urban so there aren't real world elements. However, if you look closely you might spy some connections between the cosmology of DM, SS and the Spirit Realm Adam visits. There are certainly threads but they are faint.
