23 -- An Alliterative Title
23. An alliterative titleRun Rose Run by Dolly Parton/James Patterson
From America’s most beloved superstar and its greatest storyteller—a thriller about a young singer-songwriter on the rise and on the run, and determined to do whatever it takes to survive.
Every song tells a story.
She’s a star on the rise, singing about the hard life behind her.
She’s also on the run. Find a future, lose a past.
Nashville is where she’s come to claim her destiny. It’s also where the darkness she’s fled might find her. And destroy her.
Run, Rose, Run is a novel glittering with danger and desire—a story that only America’s #1 beloved entertainer and its #1 bestselling author could have created.
I’m really struggling with this prompt… my sister pointed out that on my TBR shelf, the most alliterative title is “The Complete Chronicles of Conan” which… that is true, yes, but it’s also the largest book on that shelf, lol… a bit intimidating!
Just finished Acqua Alta by Donna Leon. Detective story set in Venice. Main character Commissario Guido Brunetti. I've really enjoyed the series so far.
Here is another list you can check, but either all of the words or at least all of the main words have to start with the same starting sound, so if you have a C and a K it has to be a C word that sounds like a K (and of course if you use cigar it can go with an s).https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/9...
This means you could have sh along with something like Sugar. I don't know if every title on this list counts, but there are some on our list that aren't alliterative.
Karen O not heard of Donna Leon or that series. I could use that for the same prompt and for another challenge to read a book penned by an author with your name! I can see my TBR may not actually get smaller.
Storm Bay wrote: "Here is another list you can check, but either all of the words or at least all of the main words have to start with the same starting sound, so if you have a C and a K it has to be a C word that s..."The problem with this challenge is as much as I read off my TBR, it grows twice as much.
Gifts, Glamping & Glocks (Camper & Criminals #29) by Tonya Kappes. Also, the entire Camper & Criminals series also has alliterative titles. They are stand alone cozy books and can be read in any order. I just realized I skipped book 27. lol
Cowboy Christmas by Rob Sanders a sweet children's book that has beautiful art and a delightful plot. Treat yourself to a fun Cowboy Christmas. Enjoy !
On January 22, 2023, I finished Oona Out of Order by Margarita Montimore. This was a 4**** read for me.
Louisiana LongshotA funny book that reminds me of the Sandra Bullock movie Miss Congeniality.
Women Who Win: Female Athletes on Being the Best
Women on Wheels: The Scandalous Untold History of Women in Bicycling from the 1880s to the 1980s
Behind the Beautiful Forevers: Life, Death, and Hope in a Mumbai Undercity by Katherine Boo was a difficult book to listen to, but the reader did it in a detached way that made it a bit easier, and I liked it better than I thought I would.
I read This Time Tomorrow for the February Mini-Challenge (Time Loop) and used it for this prompt for the main challenge.
My choice for alliterative title was Magpie Murders by Anthony HorowitzSuch a fun mystery! it could fit so many prompts but I am putting it here.
This Time Tomorrow by Emma Straub. I listened to this audiobook and LOVE Marin Ireland as a narrator! 4 stars

What is alliteration? Alliteration is the repetition of the same letter or sound at the beginning of closely connected words. For this prompt, we want to see that alliteration in the title. (As with our other title related prompts, this alliteration could also be in the subtitle, or in the series title.) Whether this is a two-word title or ten, it’s up to you!
