message 2: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys walked from the edge of the trees from a trail, glancing around the meadow. Alaska was entering the early stages of winter, and the breeze that would be considered freezing to most people, was a nice touch to Rhys. The meadow flowers were dying off and patches of grass were holding on for another week. Rhys smiled a little to himself. He liked the outdoors when winter was coming. The air smelled nice and it gave him happy vibes. He sat on a surviving mound of grass, laying back on the soft bed. He looked up at the mid toned blue sky, humming.

Meanwhile, Lukas was soaring through the skies in his dragon form. His pastel yellow scales shimmered in the cold air. He loved flying, the feeling of the wind on his wings gave him a pure sense of joy he would not have otherwise. He twirled in circles, flying higher only to dive downwards once more. All of his surroundings were gone in his mind, disintegrated by the feel and sound of the air whipping around him. If he were in his human form, he would have laughed.

message 4: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys caught sight of the yellow reflection, frowning. He sat up and watched the dragon, blue eyes bright. He smiled more, finding the dragon gorgeous. He liked seeing other dragon's forms, as there were so many possibilities and colors among the shifters. This one was a sunny yellow and it made him think of the sun and... dandelions for some reason. He stood, continuing to watch, and partly outing himself, as he was now out more in the open as he observed. He hummed a little tune, gazing up.

After a few more moments of twirling through the air and giggling in the dragon equivalent, he landed. Lukas rolled in the dying grass of the field, allowing the crunchy grass to scratch between his scales. Then, he paused, lying on his back, when he spotted the stranger. He blinked at him, rolling over onto his feet(?). His jaw seemed to clench as he continued to stare.

message 6: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys had watched the dragon twirl and land in the dead grass of the meadow. When the dragon spotted him, he blinked and felt his cheeks warm in embarrassment for openly staring. He gave a shy smile, backing up a bit in case he made them uncomfortable. His sky eyes cast to the side, nervous now. Knowing that underneath the scales and a transformation away was another person that most likely went to Katmere. And he just made a fool of himself by intensely staring at them.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Lukas let out a deep breath before he shifted. He kept his eyes closed, his head tilted up towards the sky. The short young man had slightly earthy skin clear of blemishes and freckles. After standing there for what seemed like many long minutes, he finally turned his attention back to the stranger. He approached, smiling warmly as he did so. He didn't want to be rude and ignore the person... but at the same time, he didn't know this person. What if they were rude and mean? As he continued forwards, he suppressed the thoughts. Once close enough he spoke, his voice light and airy. "Hi!"

message 8: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys swallowed nauseously, eyes assessing the dragon before it shifted and it made him pause. It was another male, shorter than him and... Almost soft looking. He gouged the distance between them as the other male stood in the grass, head tilted to the sky. He blinked and watched him more so when he walked towards him, silently trying to pull himself together. He smiled a bit, then heard him speak and his worries started to ebb away. He sounded nice, not in any way upset or anything. He felt the corners of his own smile widen in the slightest. "Hi."

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

Lukas continued to approach until he was about 6 feet away from the other. His bared feet curled and uncurled in the dying grass. "My name's Lukas, what's your's?" He asked, keeping his tone as nice and quiet as he could. However, he couldn't stop himself from surveying the area and the stranger in front of him. He continued to smile, putting his hands in the pocket of a light beige hoodie.

message 10: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys glanced away and then went back to Lucas, turning more shy as it required more talking. "I'm Rhys." He said, voice going lower. He hated that he got nervous the more he talked to people. But once he caught on and got comfortable with them, he'd start to be a bit open. He shifted and analyzed Lucas, taking him in. Lucas was a bit shorter than him, Rhys standing at 6'2 and knowing he'd have to tilt his head down to look at him if they were closer. He raised a hand and brushed back his black hair with blue strands to frame his face. Another wind blew through and he leaned into it a bit, comforting him.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

A low giggle started in Lukas' chest. "Did you enjoy watching me fly?" He looked back at the sky as the wind blew. His hair shifted slightly in the wind, but nothing too severe. Then his attention turned back to Rhys, staring up at the taller boy.

message 12: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys flushed slightly, feeling called out. "I did. Your dragon form is nice." he said, smiling a little. He glanced away again out of embarrassment all over again. He took a small breath and looked back at him, meeting Lukas's stare.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

"Thank you!" He smiled brightly, causing his eyes to squint as he did so. "Are you a shifter?" He asked, suddenly curious. As he spoke, he picked at the seams on his hoodie.

message 14: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys nodded and made his wings form behind him, spreading them. They were a midnight to periwinkle blue in the light, scales glinting lightly. He smiled at Lucas's bright one, finding it encouraging and contagious. "Yeah, I am. Dragon, obviously."

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

Lukas' smiled seemed to grow ever wider than before. "That's amazing! We should go flying sometime. Or... I supposed if you aren't doing anything right now..." He bounced on the balls of his feet in anticipation of Rhys' response.

message 16: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys grinned and nodded. "Sure. I'm free. I was just on a walk." He shifted in the still-alive grass and prepared to fully shift, his blue eyes bright. He loved to fly and feel the wind against his dragon scales. He chuckled a bit at Lucas's enthusiasm.

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

Lukas jumped with excitement and shifted. In an instant the little yellow dragon was prancing in the grass and jumping into the sky. His wings seemed larger than the rest of the dragon as he pulled himself into the air on them.

message 18: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys laughed a little and shifted, following the small yellow dragon. His wings were large as he spread them full mass to glide after him, his form slightly bigger than Lucas's. He stayed beside him a distance.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

Lukas flew in loops, much like trick planes did during an airshow. He went far up into the sky and plummeted downwards, pulling up right before he hit the ground.

message 20: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys hovered as he watched and then followed, looping and going high enough to free fall to the ground. He pulled up short of the ground, giving a roar of happiness as the wind blew past him.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

Lukas roared in response, continuing to twirl in the air. He flew up into the clouds and swam through them as if they were water. Now he only wished they were storm clouds, then he could feel the electricity prickle through his scales. He would be able to do wonderful things with it.

message 22: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys laughed the way a dragon can and burst through a cloud, making it break apart. He swatted a few with his tail and twirled. He looked to Lukas with an amused expression similar to a smile.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Lukas made a quick loop through the cloud, watching as they spread thinner and floated upwards. He breathed heavily and a cloud in front of his nose broke up and floated away.

message 24: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys hung upside down, falling below the clouds to burst up vertically by Lukas. He tucked his wings to glide before spreading them again, making a shadow on a larger cloud under him.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

Lukas stared up at him. Flying up to challenge his quickness. When he reached the same altitude as the other dragon, he spun next to him.

message 26: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys bumped him with his wing and he dived back to the cloud level. He fanned out his wings with a small roar and spun through the clouds, flicking them with his tail.

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

Lukas followed, flying in circles just above the larger dragon. He roared happily, almost like laughter.

message 28: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys reached his wing out, having the tip of his wing brush the bottom of Lukas's chin. He feels a few feet before gliding back, powering himself up to hover.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

Lukas pulled his wings close, breaking through a small bit of clouds.

message 30: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys went below the clouds again and poked his head through one, finding Lukas. He hovered in his spot, the sight different as a midnight dragon head was protruding from a fluffy white mass, slowly dispersing. It was still white enough that the rest of his body wasn't visible.

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

Lukas watched the other dragon, flipping and letting himself fall through the clouds. He proceeded to fly up and down, like the car of a rollercoaster.

message 32: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys played peek-a-boo with the clouds, popping his head up at random in the clouds. He watched Lukas and perked up at his flying. He blew a cloud away with his neon blue fire, flapping his wings to clear it,

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

Lukas flapped his wings, staying in one area as he watched the other dragon. It looked as if he were pouting. He wished he could blow fire like that. With that thought, he flew up higher, in search of dark storm clouds.

message 34: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys tilted his head after the yellow smaller dragon. He wondered what was wrong. He had noticed the pout-like expression before he had flown up. He stayed where he was for the moment, curious but not so sure.

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

Finally, Lukas spotted dark stormy clouds in the distance, he quickly flew towards it, barrel rolling into the cold clouds. Once there, he immediately felt the prickle of electricity on his scales. The bolts of lightning collected around him, causing his scales to glow.

message 36: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys saw the glow from his spot and blinked again. It was gorgeous and he felt envious of the other dragon. He could glow, and he could just puff out icy flames and the basic dragon stuff. He flew up to get a better look, hovering once again.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

Lukas spun in circles, relishing the electricity sparking through his scales. Then, he allowed the sparks to dissipate, sending little spurts of lightning all around him. Then he flew up, meeting Rhys' dragon.

message 38: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys spun around Lukas and gave a happy roar at the sparks. It was unlike what he had seen before, as his family was all fire related, and that was all he knew until Katmere. He hovered around and observed the dispelling of the electricity from Lukas's scales, amazed.

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

Lukas roared in response. He loved the lightning, it gave him a sense of belonging he never had elsewhere. After a while longer of twirling in the sky, he headed for the ground, lying in the grass.

message 40: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys shot down and banked, landing in a run. He laid in the same grassy spot he had in his human form, wrapping his tail around himself, his blue scales flashing in the light. He looked to Lukas for a moment, wondering if he was tired.

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

Lukas flipped on his back, wiggling in the grass like he had done before, this time he stopped after a few seconds, deciding to sit like a puppy instead. He looked over at Rhys, tilting his head at him.

message 42: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys fell back on a dragon laugh at him wiggling in the grass and tilting his head. He huffed a stream of blue flames and thumped his tail on the ground as he looked back at Lukas.

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

Lukas then leaned over and flopped onto the grass, shifting into his human form and bursting with laughter.

message 44: by Kay (new)

Kay It was Rhys turn to tilt his head in question as he phased into his human form. "What is it?" He asked, blinking at the shorter laughing male.

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

Lukas continued to laugh until he couldn't breath, then as he gasped for air he responded. "I-I'm sorry... It's not- you it's just... Oh lord..." He mumbled, wiping tears from his eyes. "That was just... so much fun!"

message 46: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys gave a light chuckle. "Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I did too." He smiled widely, and plopped on the grass. His hair was messed up from transforming and his eyes were bright from excitement.

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

O shi- sorry)) "We should go flying again sometime." Lukas smiled. It was so much better flying around with another dragon.

message 48: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys nodded. "For sure! I had fun. Plus I haven't really flown with another dragon that wasn't my family." He admitted with a shy smile, standing.

message 49: by [deleted user] (new)

"Really?" He asked, then he took a moment to think. "I... I've never flown with another dragon... at all." He seemed disappointed by this fact.

message 50: by Kay (new)

Kay Rhys frowned and hesitantly approached him. "That's okay, you can ask me anytime. Do you have a phone number?" He asked, kneeling beside him. He felt bad, but then again was happy they had flown together and had the experience.
