- Here is where a formerly large forest used to stand, though fire and war have caused the place to start to die off. If one is lucky, they might find berries or animals to use as a food source or companion. Though there is also many venomous creatures that love to lurk deep in these decaying woods.

Jamie walked through, carrying a large stuffed bear. She looked around, as if searching for something.

The young man had been assigned to patrol around the forest area. Not that he particularly was interested in doing so, though he knew it was best not to anger the authority that was basically sheltering him from living off on his own. His golden chains clashed against each other as he took long strides ahead, swinging one of the strings of chains in a fit of boredom. His hot pink gaze travelled from ashes, to the remaining dying trees, to even more ashes, nothing lively at all in sight.Nothing is even here... Broken complained to himself, There never is... Why does master even insist on this? I could be at home playing a game instead. He huffed slightly in a slightly childish manner before his stubby cat ears stiffened alertly. The young man turned in the direction where he could hear crackling of decaying twigs and debris. A small playful smirk crossed his face as he thought, Well well, I guess there is someone out here. Wonder if they would want to play with me. Stealthily, he crept closer to the noise, stepping in sync and trying his best not to be heard as he glanced over the being that was searching around in seach of something. Though his attention drew more towards the bear she had grasped against her. He went to approach but before he could, a yowl of pain escaped his lips as he tumbled over, seeing a scruffy looking rat had bit his ankle. Childishly, he sat there sulking and covered the spot as the rat fled. The ears on his head pinned tightly against his skull as he whined quietly, "I don't suppose they have bandaids out here, do they?"

She quickly turned around. "What the heck was that?" She asked herself, as her foot stepped in a mud puddle. She looked down at it, and giggled, before looking back up. "Is anyone out there?" She called out to whoever was there.

"No! No one's here!" He blurted out before covering his mouth. He glanced over, still caressing his wound worriedly and wondered if he should have hid or run away instead of replying.

She jumped around, and ended up landing right in front of him, with her back to him. She bent over and picked up something, her pants falling off slightly. She screamed, and pulled them up. She turned around, her face completely red, from embarrassment. "Wh-what did you see?"

She let go of her pants, hoping they would stay, but the elastic had been torn, and they fell completely off. "EEP!" She screamed, and pulled them up again. "Don't look!"

The young man had jumped uneasily and stared over at the stranger with wide eyes. Although he was yelled at not to look, he wasn't able to look away regardless and felt as his face got a bit hot. He turned and timidly asked," Are you uh... OK?"

She held her pants up, and nodded. "Y-yes. But my pants aren't. How about you? That cut looks bad."

He tilted his head," Well I could sew them if I was back home. I do that sort of stuff for master all the time." The neko looked down bashfully in thought, poking his two index fingers together in a nervous bout. "Y-Yea it's OK. Just stings a little." He grimaced before looking up as something came to him," What are you even doing out here though? Its dangerous being so close to one of the castles."

She let her pants fall down, and hugged him. "I was out here investigating the ruins." She said, as she felt a drop of rain on her nose. She snuggled up close to him, shivering.

He blinked as she did, allowing it and wrapping his fluffy scarf around her to keep her warm before looking around in the light rainstorm," I'm not quiet sure where we can take refuge, but we can look around if you want. The sooner the better in case it starts pouring like it did last night."

She nods and hugs him, tightly. "I-I heard there were people that disappeared around here, and I wanted to check it out." She told him, as she held the scarf around her mouth. "Th-thank you."

He blinked," Well what if you went missing trying to find out yourself? I wouldn't be surprised by that though since so many creatures live out here." The young man kept an arm around her to try to keep her warm while nodding," No problem. What's your name anyhow?"

"I-I'm Jamie. A-and you can look if you want to." She said, as she pointed to her underwear, with a blush.

He smiled lively," Well its nice to make your acquaintance. You can call me broken." The young man then blinked and asked innocently," What do you mean? I already did." He tilted his head in a curious manner," Why, am I not supposed to look at you?" Broken had never really understood why others would get so nervous when skin was showing, as in his past it was beaten into him that sort of thing was normal. Someone could have been completely nude and he wouldn't even bat an eye or question it.

She smiled and giggled. "Y-you wouldn't be mad if I went naked?" She asked as she blushed. Her tail flicked around happily.

He smiled," Of course not. There's nothing wrong about it from what I can see."

She smiled and hugged him. "S-so where are you heading?"

He smiled lightly at her hug before looking ahead," Well I was patrolling around these parts, but now I'm not sure. Maybe near one of the smaller towns so we both can rest for a bit.

She smiled. "Well I have some money. So we could get a room there."

She stood up and pulled her pants up. "L-lets go to the town. I'm getting a bit hungry, and I think you should have a clean place to nurse your wound."

Broken blinked asking rather confused, "You would really pay for me? No one has even bothered to care for me before in the past like that." He smiled lightly and nodded, standing up as well, "And while we're there, I'll find something to fix your jeans if you'd like. For now you could try using one of my belts." He took one of the ones that was slung loosely around his waist off and handed it over to her for her to take.

She put the belt on, and smiled at him. "Thank you. Now let's get going." She said as she helped him up.

She slipped down, and her paws landed in a mud puddle. She looked at him with a smile. "Let's go, you can lean on me, while we head there."

Broken nodded slightly lightly at her and began to lead her off towards the direction of one of the smaller towns.

She followed him, closely, making sure he wouldn't fall over.

She hugged him, from behind, as they walked.

He followed beside her rather quietly, rather happy he was being hugged while the two were travelling. The golden bell that was attached to his collar chimed lightly as a thought soon crossed his mind, "So... you mentioned that you had visited some ruins? Find anything there?" His inquiry was mainly to pass by time as they travelled, but he seemed a tad curious regardless to what she had even been doing there.

She nods vigorously. "Mhmm. I found lots of shiny things there." She said happily, as she kept walking.

The moment she said shiny, his ears perked with interest before asking, "Really? Can I see??"

She reached into her pocket, and brought out a bunch of shiny coins, and some old metal items. She grinned as she showed them to him. "I want to use these to find out what happened to that ruined place."

He picked up one of the coins, seeming completely entranced by how shiny it was and looked it over for a good minute before giving it back to her. "So you're going to bribe someone to tell you?" He asked curiously. Now that he had thought about it, the ruins did ring a bell to him. But for the life of him, he couldn't remember what information he actually knew about the place. Just that it was there.

"No one gets my shinies!" She exclaimed, and shook her head. "I'm going to study them."

Broken blinked, seeming a bit taken back by that, but honestly didn't blame her. He simply nodded in understand him smiling, "Well I wish you good luck with that."

She put them away and kissed his cheek.

He nodded before blinking and looked at her, a bit red when she did that. "What was that for?" he asked with a nervous hint in his voice.

She shrugged and giggled. "I just wanted to."

He blinked, "Do you normally randomly kiss people...?"

She shook her head, blushing as she did so. "No. I'm sorry."

Broken smiled, "Well don't be. I just think it's adorable... I'm just not used to that sort of thing."

She blushed again. "Oh, then I can kiss you again when we get to safety."

The man shrugged and smiled lightly, still feeling a bit fuzzy and embarrassed from the first one before nodding, "Oh um... sure. I-if you want."

She smiled and kept walking, stepping in as much mud as she possibly could.
