Oh Vietnam Vietnam
I Remember the day,
I remember the minute he had
walked away,
Oh Vietnam Vietnam
He wore his freshly ironed
American infantry uniform of the 69th,
his strong Frenchman face high above
mine.
Oh Vietnam, Vietnam
I stood on the tips of my toes
To reach his lips and kiss him goodbye,
He returns the favor and marches out
The door,
Oh Vietnam Vietnam
Every night I dream, every day I wait
Every week a letter he writes to me from my
Man across the pacific sea,
Oh Vietnam Vietnam
I walk along a wall of names, those
Of friends, neighbors and atlas I am with my
Husband again.

Timber wolf sing your song for
The full moon oh but sing it for me
Timber wolf your song is intune nature is
In balance when you sing your lovely
Song,
Desert wolf with your life so bleak
do you call out hide and seek do you play
with the moon and prey on your lonely nights,
Arctic wolf the only the moon is
Your witness you still sing what a lonely
Stage of which you perform,
Your song does not save you,
So why do you try when the world is
Against you and so many of you die?
The full moon oh but sing it for me
Timber wolf your song is intune nature is

Does anyone here ever perform their poetry? Lots of cities have coffee shops that host open mic nights. You can do a bit of research to see which ones have poetry. Go for a few nights to scope it out, then perform.
I've found some fun and supportive community at my local open mic. I don't even perform. I just go for the free art.

Even if you don't perform yourself, there's a lot you can learn from watching and listening. I've found people there to be very encouraging and kind. I don't even write and people encourage me to go up all the time. I have to explain I'm just there to listen and they're shook every time.

I highly recommend you go just to listen and check it out. I have a lot of fun. I've been going for years and I've never performed.
