Hi - I am going to make a request to have one of my picks changed. I have a review copy of
The Sisterhood: The 99ers and the Rise of U.S. Women's Soccer which was one of the picks for me, and it’s impossible to read. I have asked the publisher if I can get a better quality copy, but in the meantime, can Desley or someone else pick a substitute one? To show you what I mean, here are the last three paragraphs of Chapter 4, at which point I finally gave up.

Finished my first Small Great Things, if I'd known more about what the book was about, I wouldn't have read it, and I was close to giving up in the beginning, but I had enough curiosity to know the ending, so I persevered and as chance would have it, ended up sitting in a hospital app for a few hours so read half in a block, or I think it would have been a longer read. I'm not actually sure I liked the ending, so a 3* read.

, gave it 5 stars. Colleen Hoover delivers again. This book made me laugh, cry, and gripped my heart as it took me along for an emotional rollercoaster ride. The characters were so imperfectly perfect that it is hard not to fall in love with them.Thanks Desley for a great pick!

I finished Still Midnight on Fri, an enjoyable read, but not as good as others of hers I've read. Starting my last pick shortly
Forgot to update on Tue that I finished my last pick, Death of a Cad - I hadn't realised I'd put the second book in the series on rather than the first, but still enjoyed it enough to buy the third!

, gave it 2 stars. I wanted to like this book but I just couldn't get into it. It took everything I had just to finish it. I felt that the book just didn't go anywhere and was all over the place. The ending left me feeling, "huh." There were so many questions that seemed unanswered by the end.

For anyone unfamiliar, this is a monthly challenge where you post a link to a shelf you created. It can be named "PIFM" or "Pick It For Me" etc, if you want one dedicated only to this challenge, or you can use an existing shelf you already have, as long as it has 100 or fewer books on it. The link must be to the specific shelf, or you will not be partnered.. Indicate how many books you would like to have picked for you from that shelf for the month in question. There is no lower limit as to how many books you can have on your shelf, but, of course, they should be books you are interested in reading during the next month and have ready access to.
On or about the 25th of each month, I will post who picks for whom. In order to accommodate an uneven number of participants, pairs will not be reciprocal -- in other words, it won't be Joanne picking for Jennifer and Jennifer picking for Joanne. It may be Joanne picks for Jennifer, Jennifer picks for Herman, and Herman picks for Suzanne, and someone else entirely picks for Joanne.
IF anyone has not been "picked for" by the 30th, I will pick for them if the designated picker can't be contacted by PM.
When you are assigned someone to pick for, note the number of books in parentheses after that person's name in the pick list, go to the link for their shelf, and pick that number of books for them. Post the books in a new message here. That person has the entire following month to read his/her picks. Someone will be picking for you the same way. We all like to see what people think about their picks, so we hope you will keep us posted in this thread!

Your designated shelf must be set so that others can see it. Name it PIFM or Pick It For Me. Add books to it, and post the link to it in this challenge as described above. Again, if you need help, please don't hesitate to PM me!
