Mack Baddley Reading crank, a story of the damage that drugs can do an individual and those around them. It shows us how the drug takes everything away, your family, your future; and biggest of all, yourself. This book brought a different viewpoint on drug addicts to me. The book goes about the daughter, Kristina, and a "monster" named Crank, but the real monster is meth. This novel also left me with a weird feeling, the fact that main character suffers no consequences for her actions. Her friends, family, teachers, no one knew she was using? No one held her accountable? She even managed to use during and unplanned pregnancy and her child was still perfect. I thought this was going to teach something about drugs since i did hear about this book at a pretty young age, but it just left me with not a lot.

Katy Reasor There are actually two more books after Crank. The sequel is Glass, and the last one is Fallout. She definitely suffers the repercussions of her actions. The lesson in her story is a great one, but even after finishing these three books I was pretty upset with how it ended. I don't want to spoil it, if you do decide to read them.
Also, if you enjoyed the style Ellen Hopkins writes in you should check out her other books. My favorite is Identical.
