Fellow Canadian here. I am also old school, book in hand need to see both pages as I read. LOL I call myself a bookaholic. Just did a master list of my books to try and organize my book cases and let's just say I have a lot of books. My favourtie place to shop is Chapters.
Hi Everyone. @Deity World thank you for the invite. Looks like a nice place to hang out and connect with fellow readers.

Hi Everyone,I'm at uni, studying history. I work part-time in a garden centre and I help my friend John at the local veterans club. I've an itch for digging up the goings on in 20th C, Europe and people that help the less fortunate without any thought of thanks or fame.
In my free time I'm reading: European History. Geo-Political Intrigue. Credible Fiction: based on the real-world (not the fantasy-fiction churned out nowadays). Fiction that urges you to dig up the facts, find the answers, look at how such can, could and does happen.
Also: I'm 'Flat-out-like-a-lizard-drinking.'
Happy reading, ya' all.

Fellow Canadian here. LOL I refer to myself as a bookaholic, Chapters is definitely my favourite shop. I also enjoy reading old school, book in hand.
Hi Elaine !!!!! Yes I love bookstores and libraries! I was in a bookstore last Friday and I was so excited when I saw all the books I was shaking! It was like i had a withdrawal on books …..lol ! Saying oh I have to have this one and oh this one too! I could have spent hours in there !

Amazon has its perks, but unlike a book store, you don't get to meet other readers or staff and have some amazing conversations. Would be awesome if my husband won Lotto Max - now that would be a shopping trip and would need more bookcases for sure.
Big day today - returning some library books and going to Chapters. Woo Hoo.
Lucky you ! Weather here today is book weather .snowed in so lots of reading to do !Finished one last night. Yay for me another book read on my challenge! Have fun at the library and chapters!
@Jackie just a couple hours south of you via the 401. Yesterday was cold but no snow. Today snowing and cold, tis the season. Finally normal Dec weather.Congratulations on another book done on your reading challenge 👏

Hi everyone I'm Dirk from Antwerp.I joined the group because Deity joined the group I'm moderating.
Seemed like a nice small group, so I thought why not.
I graduated more than 40 years ago in the graphic arts (mostly etching and lithography) Worked for 39 years in the graphic industry (mostly computer) Retired last year and got myself an iPad with an Apple pencil and started making large drawings in the style I used to make etchings.
I've posted some of these drawings in the Art Lovers Group:
