Does your film/series selection follow suit?

Ruby Grad (rubygrad) | 50 comments Of those categories, I'd pick Romance (where books/movies like "Pride and Prejudice," etc. would fall), Crime (mysteries), Musicals, Comedy and Documentary (in that order).

♥ Sandi ❣ | 636 comments My favorite genre is historical - both fiction and nonfiction. I probably read as much or maybe even more general fiction, which I also like, but historical is my favorite. Then follows magical realism.

As far as movies or series I jump all over the place from sci-fy to westerns and everything in between.

Phyllis Runyan | 17 comments My favorite is historical, both fiction and nonfiction. I am not a fan of horror or most mysteries but some are OK.

☕Laura | 31 comments When it come to books, I enjoy historical fiction and particularly historical mysteries, and I would say that carries over into my film/television viewing as well. With regard to TV series, I watch a lot of foreign shows. That is less so for my reading. I will read translated works but not with the same frequency I watch foreign TV.

Bonnie I am cyclic in favorite genres but basically mystery /historical fiction/fantasy and I enjoy crossover books/series.

Barbara I enjoy mystery, thriller, suspense but at the same time, this is the category where I seem to be most let down recently. The most recent that I really enjoyed were all written a few years ago to as many as 10-15 or more years ago.
For movies - I do like thrillers if they're not violent (and keep your mitts off the dog!), anything with a plot twist, more picky when it comes to comedy.
