When I first read the list of next year's prompts, I thought, well that's a tough one. When I started to collect book ideas, I realized that the books on my TBR pile for the near future actually cover many of those prompts. Can't wait to start reading!I am most excited about prompt #9 and plan on finding an extraordinary dedication.
Prompt #40 seems to be the most difficult for me; I don't usually read books by comedians.
Happy reading, everyone!
i’m not very good at finding my way around goodreads but trying to get a better handle on it (usually chat on the groups fb page) - my most daunting is probably the Octavia Butler prompt or enemies to lovers - most excited about Nordic noir, murder and roaring twenties
I'm very excited about the "set in Australia" prompt. I've been wanting to reread The Thorn Birds, and this is a good excuse. I'm a little daunted by Nordic noir, and also dystopian.
I kind of hate, loathe and despise present tense books, so that will be my most daunting one. I think the ones I'm most looking forward to are the book "everyone" is reading, and the book that doesn't fit any of the other prompts, simply because I'll look forward to how I fulfill them.
I am least excited about Enemies to Lovers, I don't read romance as a rule and it is my least favorite trope in rom com movies. I am trying to look for books that interest me and just happen to have the theme. I am basically excited for all of them and the books that well fill them.
High fantasy is a common favorite of mine. Nordic noir is not really my thing but I don't dread it or anything.
I'm looking forward to dystopia, high fantasy, survival stories. I don't really dislike any of the prompts, however some of them gave me pause when I tried to think of a title to fit... for example: body-positive ? ... rabbit hole? (Actually, this description fits much of my reading habits since I was little.)
I'm most excited for "sends you down a rabbit hole"- I'm taking that one as a book that leads me to research the subject or person the book may be about or remind me of. I did that after I read Daisy Jones and the Six. The band made me think of Fleetwood Mac, and I spent 2 days watching them on YouTube and researching Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham. The most daunting is "an author with the same name as you". The options are very few since my name is unique. I may have to go with my middle name for that one.
I am looking forward to " featuring Mythology". Probably a reread of The Witch's Heart.. loved that one.Dreading "Doesn't fit any of the other 51 prompts". Probably going to make my brain hurt.. lol
"An author with a same name as you" is something that I am going to have trouble with, any recommendations on an author named "Princess"?? lol

November 19, 2022 -- Week 47
We're still finishing up our 2022 challenge BUT since the new challenge was released yesterday, we thought this week's discussion was the perfect time to chat some more about it.
One of the things we LOVE about this challenge is that the prompt someone absolutely dreads is also the prompt that someone else is most excited about. This group is an amazing community of bookworms with a variety of preferences, and we all want to help you find the perfect books for your challenge!
So, now that you've had time to look through it, which prompt jumps out as one you're most excited about? Which one feels most daunting?
Once you've shared, go back through the comments and drop a few suggestions or creative interpretations for prompts that others may be struggling with!
