Books in the Freezer discussion

This can be either a horror twist on an older story or a retelling of a horror story.

I was thinking of one of Alma Katsu's books.

I'm planning on reading Alice by Christina Henry.

I just finished Reluctant Immortals by Gwendolyn Kiste, which is the story of the forgotten women of the two best know gothic classics, Lucy from Dracula and Bertha Mason from Jane Eyre. Really enjoyed it. And, fear not, you don't have to read Jane Eyre to enjoy it, (but you would likely benefit from a Wikipedia summary).

I'm currently reading The Weight of Blood and may read Mary: An Awakening of Terror next. Both are retellings of Stephen King's CARRIE. The former from the perspective of a young black girl and the later from the perspective of a menopausal woman.

I would venture på place In Nightfall in this category, it is basically a retelling of The Lost Boys😊

I also just splurged on a Kickstarter she has a story in, and pledged for the reward of being tuckerized* in her story.
