This can be either a horror twist on an older story or a retelling of a horror story.

I read that one and loved it so I'm checking out the author's take on the Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Horseman: A Tale of Sleepy Hollow)

Whitney | 118 comments I just finished Reluctant Immortals by Gwendolyn Kiste, which is the story of the forgotten women of the two best know gothic classics, Lucy from Dracula and Bertha Mason from Jane Eyre. Really enjoyed it. And, fear not, you don't have to read Jane Eyre to enjoy it, (but you would likely benefit from a Wikipedia summary).

Bluehairbookwitch (bluehairbookwitch) | 6 comments I'm currently reading The Weight of Blood and may read Mary: An Awakening of Terror next. Both are retellings of Stephen King's CARRIE. The former from the perspective of a young black girl and the later from the perspective of a menopausal woman.

Anette | 4 comments I would venture på place In Nightfall in this category, it is basically a retelling of The Lost Boys😊

She is! I also love the candles she sells through her etsy store, ScentFromHell.

I also just splurged on a Kickstarter she has a story in, and pledged for the reward of being tuckerized* in her story.

Here's the kickstarter, if anyone else in interested, it looks great.

*Tuckerized = having your name used as a character in a story.
