For Chick lit and travel with older heroines check out Robin Jones Gunn's Sisterchicks series.

As a suggestion and also the book I am planning to read for this genre:
(it is listed as Women's fictions, which I would think would count as chick lit, and one of the women moves (travels) across the country).
I'm in for a sample platter (1-3 books per genre).

January (chick lit - travel) - Journey Back to Christmas by Leigh Duncan. Time travel for this one - hope it fits the category.Question - how do I include the book in my comment?
Karen, on the desktop version of Goodreads, there is an "add book/author" link above the comment box. In the pop-up window, there are options for "link" and "cover" at the bottom. Select the one you want and then use the search box in the pop-up window to find the book you want and then click "add" next to the book.
This cannot be done via the Goodreads app, from what I've heard.

Thanks Andrea - I really appreciate the help. Unfortunately I don't see the link above the comment box on my desktop version. Guess I will just have to stay with text only.Is the book I selected acceptable for this category? Definitely chick lit and the travel is time travel.
Sample Platter for me. For this first challenge, I would highly recommend the Sister Chick books by Robin Jones Gunn. It is a series, but only very loosely. Characters from previous books make brief cameos. My favorite was Sisterchicks Do the Hula. Also I would recommend
The Yada Yada Prayer Group. This was a great series and I loved every book in it. I put 2 books on hold from the library for this challenge. I'll see what I can do!
I'll try: Sample Platter: 1-3 books from each genreJanuary: Chick Lit > featuring travel

I read this b/c the MC "travels" from homelessness to security, but was disappointed in a super low reading level, and a very light treatment of difficult issues.
Split Ends
Lydia wrote: "Is it okay if I do Lizzie & Jane for January? I want to do the 1 to 3 books."That would count for the Genre of the Month and if you're also participating in Reading the Rainbow, its red cover, so you'd also to use this book for that.

Chick Lit > featuring travel- main chick lit novella with to Greece place holder as I'm hoping to finish another chick lit travel.
The book I was reading for chick lit > travel ended up not being to my taste, so I DNFed it. So I’ll find another one and catch up in February.
I haven't yet finished my "planned" book - The Plans We Made... haha... but I did finish 3 books that fit this category (posted above in message 7). I am enjoying The Plans We Made but will finish after January is over.
