Well i finished this book this week and i liked it a lot i think i gave it a 4.5 is a totally different feeling to tmi. I felt the spookiness throughout the book is really interesting. I started developing a problem with the male characters by this author I know Will is probably going to evolve but.. come on.. He is too rud and I dont know how Tessa keeps developing this feelings when he keeps mistreating her.. I know there is a reason behind Wills actitude and I hope is a good one because what he did at the end... acting like she was just going to use her for sex... not cool at all.. Jem is such a sweetie i actually copied some of his phrases because they were so good. Im not actually rooting for him because I can feel Tessa likes Will a lot more but one of my favorite things of the book was the bromance and even though I like Tessa Im afraid she is going to ruin their friendship. Im so happy I read this one before city of fallen angels because they connect so well. Im going to start clockwork prince today Im really excited to get to know what is Tessa? what was her mom? why does the Magister wants her for? and i dont know.. which are the infernal devices maybe? This book leaves so many questions is insane!
I really liked this! :) I thought it was a lot of fun, and the setting of Victorian London did more for the Shadowhunter world than the modern setting of New York ever did. Also, the characters were a lot more complex and nuanced than the ones in TMI. Although I am enjoying the Mortal Instruments series (I have yet to read book four), I have a feeling I'm going to love this one. 4.5/5
First Cassie Clare book. Really enjoyed this!!! Solid 4 for me, only lost out on a star because I called who the magister and his accomplice was from the first mention haha :) it was good that even though I haven't read tmi yet Cassie's writing and way of story telling allowed me to keep up with the world she's built and not get lost in the terms. Excited to continue the series and see where Tessa's story takes her in both herself and also her love
I really enjoyed this book. I read through it really fast and I loved the vibe of it. Really cool. I haven't read anything else from her before. I'm really excited to read the next one. I wish I would've thought to update this immediately after I read it. Now my initial feelings are calm.
I finished this book in a day and really enjoyed it. I felt a great vibe from the whole book. I did see so many similarities between everyone in the book and the people in TMI. I really think the books are going to to be pretty perfect. I fell in love with Jem the minute we meet him. I feel like I'm going to want more then just three books before it all over with.
