I do think Adam was very nervous about the messages he was receiving. Running to ask for Jules help was just a plus. This enabled him to try to get between Jules and Robin, to see if he could cause problems with their relationship.
Adam is so self-absorbed. The calls did scare him, but he was happy to take advantage of the situation to try and get between Robin and Jules.
I agree. Adam was nervous about the messages, but he wanted to use his fear to cause trouble between Jules and Robin. My guess is he thought he could get one of them to "comfort" him. While I believe he wanted Robin, he would take Jules if he could get them to breakup.
He was calling Robin incessantly before he received the Jessop messages. He was kind of happy in a weird sort of way to have a legitimate reason now to call.
I like how Jules handled him, not taking the bait but treating the call legitimately and letting Sam & Alyssa handle it. That sort of neutralized Adam.
Unfortunately, Adam seems to truly love Robin and is desperate to get him back. Even though he knows it’s futile, he knows both men well enough to leverage their vulnerabilities. What a weasel.
