When I was around 12 (I’m 24 now so around 2008-2010 maybe) I went on a trip and bought these books (they were in box sets) that were about this really weird family. The books are from the perspective of a child and first book I remember reading, the child’s brother falls off a balcony (7 story balcony maybe). The box sets had drawings that looked kinda like Roald Dahl drawings but a little more put together. I believe at the time there were 3 box sets each containing maybe 4/5 books. They had a few pictures here and there but not many. They were on sale at a indigo when I bought them (Canadians will know indigo lol).

The Unlikely Exploits series by Philip Ardagh? The first book is The Fall of Fergal: The First Unlikely Exploit - at the very beginning, the baby brother, Fergal, falls out of a hotel window.
